  • Great Panel for Charging Devices while Camping or Off-Grid
Size: 60W
I'm giving this panel a 5 star rating because it includes something most smaller panels do not, and that is a direct way to charge USB devices. Most panels assume you have a batter pack you can use for your devices, but being able to recharge them directly from a panel is very nice. There are other panels out there with this feature, but IMHO, all small panels should include a USB power hub that can connect directly to the panel. If it wasn't for this feature, I'd have given it a 4 star rating for the following reasons. The 12VDC output only put out 7 watts, which is a mere pittance of what's needed to charge up a solar generator or battery of any decent size. The glue holding the kickstands' angle strap is not good and came right off as soon as the panel heated up. These are relatively minor issues. When connecting the panel directly to a couple of solar generators, I was getting 51 watts of power and it charged both up readily, with no issues. When charging two devices, one on the USB-A port and one on the USB-C port, there was no drop on provided wattage to either device. I was getting about 17 watts on the USB-C port and almost 8 watts on the USB-A port. The hinge of the panel is stiff when cold and doesn't want to stay open unless tilted back. When the panel has been sitting in the sun for a while, the opposite it true: it doesn't want to stay closed. The panel isn't small enough to take hiking or backpack camping. I think this makes a good panel to take if your "in the field" with a vehicle, and a great emergency preparedness panel because of the ability to charge devices directly. Would I buy it again or recommend this to friend: Yes. ... show more

  • I remember the old days these were expensive
Size: 60W
Does anyone remember that? Solar panels were expensive, heavy and easy to break. This comes with handles, seems surprisingly flexible, and has everything you need to generate multiple volts of power plus power up your USB items. It's almost frustrating. I tested a voltage meter and sure enough, this panel delivers what it claims (which would have been okay if it was slightly off, but the panel is on the level). It's easy to move around due to the handles, but still large enough it can be bulky. Lightweight though, so even someone with a small frame can move it, but I recommend if you've younger kids doing the move, have them team up to make it easier. The assortments include as always not super high quality but has what you need. This will definitely work for campouts or emergency situations. If I wanted a more secure bug out concept, I might invest in the assortments to upgrade them to something heavy duty, but the panel is reliable. And goodness gracious...it's so inexpensive. I remember a 25 watt panel once being like $300. Check this price out! For a 60 watt. Times have changed, particularly when it wasn't long ago we were hearing about a shortage and price hike on these. Ultimately, this will do for basic, emergency needs. It won't break your bank, and is easy enough to invest especially if you can catch a sale. ... show more

  • It's absolutely perfect!
Size: 60W
This portable solar panel was such a great find since I live in Florida, and we always have to be prepared every year in case a tropical storm or hurricane hits us. This solar panel has been a great addition to our hurricane season kit. When we first unboxed it and saw everything that came with it, I thought it would be hard to use, but it's actually very easy. We just attached the cables connected to the back of the panel to the cables connected to the little power hub. We opened the panel and placed it outside in the sun and then we were able to connect anything that uses a USB-C and USB-A cable to the power hub. The little power hub also has a DC Cable output and they included the DC cable and 10 different connectors so you can charge a laptop or anything that uses any of the connectors. The panel has a pocket to keep everything organized in one place and it folds up and can be carried like a briefcase. When it's open, it's 3 feet wide and almost 2 feet high, and it has two kickstands that hold the panel at the perfect angle toward the sun. I am not good at talking about watts and power measurements and all that, all I can say is that it works like a charm and charges our phones and tablets quickly which is what we need it to do. ... show more

  • Easy To Carry And Set Up
Size: 100W
This 100 W Portable Solar Panel folds down flat to 15.5"x19.5" and has a convenient handle for carrying, and a zip-up storage pocket for the cables. It includes a straightforward instruction manual, a power hub, an MC4 to XT60 cable for plugging into storage batteries, a DC cable with 10 adaptors of different sizes, and four carabiners in case you wanted to attach the panel to something. Setup is very easy. You release the clip that holds it together when it's folded, and unfold it. In its open position, it measures about 6'x19.5 inches. It has a couple of stands attached in the back so you can stand it up at different angles. The power comes out from a 5' cable, with MC4 connectors. You can connect the power hub to this. The power hub has USB-A, USB-C, and a 12V DC outlet. It also has an indicator light, which shows when power is flowing. We used the USB connection to charge some lights, and it worked as expected. Overall, this unit is very easy to set up and use. Note that this is only a solar collector. It does not store power, but you can use it to charge a storage battery. ... show more
