Initially too wide for what I bought it for. Figured it would be. Nothing a dremmel, sheet metal screws and a little guess work couldn't take care of. Withstood a 3,000 mile round trip. Driving with loaded and not worked great.

They look great, work well and relatively easy to install. I did have to make some minor mods but they went on my Forester and hold tight.

    • Will not hold onto your car!
Not only was this roof rack ridiculous to install, but it would not tighten nearly enough for my car and would always slide around. I definitely would not reccomend investing in this product unless you're looking for a disappointment.

Instructions inside were dirty and crumpled torn in half with one half missing. The box was smashed up. The straps were missing and it couldn't even be used. Don't buy this.

    • They Seem Good...But
They arrived early. So that was cool; decided to put them on after work. The instructions were clear enough. Pretty easy to understand. Didn't even need them for the most part. The first issue I noticed was that a plastic tool to tighten the little feet with was not included with mine. Not a big deal, I just hand tightened them. Second, the wind noise was a little unbearable. I decided I would move both rails back as the front one appeared to sit a little tilted, towards the front. This would obviously create more wind noise. So I moved them back so the front could be a little more flat on the roof, as much as possible for the car's design. I didn't expect them to be noiseless. And to credit the design, the wind noise WAS NOT because of the frame clamps. It was the simple fact that you put bars above the roof which wasn't designed for bar, obviously wind makes noise. No issues with the wind noise. However, the issue arose when I moved the bars back. I had maybe used the ratcheting system 3 times at most to adjust the bars. When I went to go move them, I retightened them and both driver side ratcheting mechanisms broke during this process. Keep in mind I had done this already multiple times and felt comfortable with how tight they were. So I don't feel like I tightened them any more than I did before and definitely not an unreasonable amount. Again, to credit the design, even though one side's mechanism is broken, it doesn't make the rails useless. The mechanisms still function to keep the strap in place so it can't come loose. Now, I am not sure how much I trust this, but at first glance, with the other side still functioning, they still technically work. This is obviously a disappointment. It appears the actual core of the design is using plastic to tighten metal straps. Obviously this means the core of the ratcheting system will likely break before anything else. Like mine did. Now I will give the seller the benefit of the doubt and ask for a replacement. If the replacement doesn't have issues, then it is possible mine just wasn't up to spec. The fact both rails had this issue makes me a little worried new ones will be any different. However, everyone deserves a second chance and the seller also deserves another chance to prove these rails are safe to use. Update: The seller was completely useless. If I had to rate their service, I would get it 1 out of 10. Don't buy from this seller. ... show more
