This is our 4th bag for softball. We have tried a long bag and a different brand back pack style bag. Neither bag was very convenient and it did not hold our equipment properly. This bag was purchased by our select team with team branded colors and logos. This year we changed teams and were allowed to buy whatever bag we wanted and since we got a lot of use out of the last one, it was an easy decision to repurchase the this bag in basic black. We now have two of these, one team branded and one basic black. My review is of the team branded bag which is the same exact bag as this one. The bag went though 100 games, 15 tournaments, little league, Allstars and over 100 practices. Thrown on the ground in the dirt and rain, laid on, beat up and used constantly, not a single problem with it. It’s still in fantastic shape. The bag holds a smaller emergency bag of accessories that every softball player needs, 2 bats, glove, sunglasses, face mask, helmet and batting gloves with room to spare! However, it didn’t feel or look big on my daughter’s back. It’s weight is evenly distributed through the shoulder straps and was very comfortable for her to carry around all weekend long, many weekends in a row. No problems with the straps, the zipper or loose bat pockets. After wiping it down with a wet cloth from time to time, it still looks brand new.. I am sure we will get the same great use out of the new one. Cost wise, sometimes with a coupon you can get these for a little bit cheaper from Dick’s sporting goods but the price for these was fair and I hope to not have to buy another bag for a long time but if I did, I would buy this one again. ... show more

    • Perfect for my son's games
Got this for my 13-year-old son for his baseball season, and it’s been great so far. It fits both of his bats on the sides with no problem, and there’s plenty of space inside for his helmet, glove, cleats, and even his uniform. He throws everything in there and still has room left over. The zippers are holding up well (he's not exactly gentle with it), and the material feels durable. He carries it to and from practice a few times a week and to games on weekends, and it's handled everything just fine. There's even a hook so he can hang it on the fence, which he really likes. Only small downside is that it doesn't have a ton of extra little pockets, but for the basics and gear it works perfectly. He likes the look of it too—not too flashy, but still cool. If you’ve got a middle schooler playing ball, I’d definitely recommend this bag. ... show more

This is a great bag, quite possibly the best back pack bat bag I've purchased. Spacious and durable. Having the helmet pouch and cleats hooks on the outside really allows you to get more in this bag. The bat holsters are better than most other bags.

The materials feel a little cheap, but after a full season of abuse it held up like a champ. All zippers still function as designed and none of the pockets have ripped.
