Table looks great and feels solid. I would not trust standing or sitting on it though. We only gave it 4 stars because they went a little cheap on the hardware and better quality would have gone a long way here. We did need to go around entire table and tighten all pre-installed screws. We found many of them loose. We did need to replace 2 screws that held the corner you attach leg to because they were not long enough or the holes were not drilled correctly. Using slightly longer screws solved the issue. We did need to return the first table we received because the table leaf support was not installed correctly and had same issue with the holes not being drilled correctly. They were quick to respond but they did need to contact manufacturer to get an answer on how to handle the situation. It did take about 2 or so weeks to get the second table. Chairs are great and feel sturdy but do take a bit of time to put together. We did have some issues with hardware quality. Two chairs had bushings that were poorly tapped and gave us trouble with assembly. Overall, the whole set is pretty and sturdy once we fixed the issues but they could have done better with the quality check before shipping from manufacturer. We would definitely recommend this company and would buy from them again. For the price of a solid wood table set, it can't be beat. ... show more

A good, solid dining set that’s made of real wood. A bit of a pain to put together and does need to be tightened fairly often. I would caution people in bigger bodies (like me) against purchasing the chairs—the capacity is about $250 and wears out after a couple of years. Otherwise, an excellent value! ... show more

The quality, comfort and finish of the set is first class. We went to a few different furniture stores in the area and were a bit hesitant to order something online. We received the set this afternoon and are delighted. In addition, the delivery company was very professional. We were given a window from noon until 3:00 PM. I have had this item for a week now. Pros: Table is heavy, feels solid, and love the color. I love this table! The chairs are comfy and also feel durable but are really light in weight (not sure if the light weight of the chair is a a pro or con at this point). Assembly was pretty straight forward. Also the table can be extended to a longer length if you have more guests and the operation to extend it takes literally a minute and is very straight forward. Cons: The chairs feel sturdy but are really light in weight (could be good or bad, time will tell). The directions said to be careful when attaching legs and pay attention to the right and left signs on each leg. Guess what they had mislabeled the legs, so right was left and vice versa. Caused me some grief. Not really that big a deal because once you assemble it there is only one way for the u shaped anchor to fit under the seat and if the legs are on the wrong sides then the anchor simply can’t be placed into the holes it’s supposed to go into (you will see when you assemble). Over all for a little less than $700 I think it’s totally worth it and I would recommend it at this point in time. I will try to update this review after a few months. ... show more

OK I know nicer than expected sounds silly but after the last dining set I ordered online I didn't have my expectations set too high. In addition there were only two reviews here when I placed my order BUT they were 5 star reviews. Let me just say this is a really nice set. First its all real wood with NO particle board. The finish is top notch. I had a really good feeling about the set as I was unpacking it judging from the care they took to pack it. Assembly was super easy but I will say that I have put together many a piece of furniture in my 66 years. The table took about 15 minutes and maybe 15 minutes for each chair. If you are completely intimidated by the thought of putting something together then pay the $100 or so to have Amazon assemble it and you still will have an excellent value in a dining set. My wife and I are so happy with this purchase. I would say that the quality is easily on par with higher end furniture stores. Side note: we like this set so much we ordered two additional chairs. Could have bought the set with six chairs but didn't think we needed them. But after seeing the quality we decided to have the two extra chairs around now rather than being disappointed if they didn't have them later on down the road if and when we decided we needed them. ... show more
