I love this fire pit. I also have East Oaks smokeless fire pit but where I live, we have strict fire restrictions from early June through October, so I decided to also get this gas fire pit, as an alternative to a real fire. As a single female, I was able to put this together very quickly and with a y issues. The trick is to not tighten any screws until all sides are on, that way all holes line up. Easy to assemble, great quality and looks good. It gives off a nice amount of heat. I also like that I can adjust the flame size. You’ll definitely want to add more lava rocks to it, as what it comes with barely covers the base. I added some extra and it still needs more to hide the ring. I also love the magnetic lid that will cling to the side wall when removed. For the price, this is a great buy and a great addition to any back yard or balcony. ... show more

After thirteen years, our old backyard fire pit finally died. We searched a lot and found that East Oak offered this model with stronger metal than the competitors and a nice design. It went together quickly based on the best instruction manual I've seen. In our first evenings using the fire pit, we found its minimum setting produced all the heat we needed. It's really a beautiful addition to our back yard with an elegant design. We did a follow up order for the cover which looks to be of good quality. After two rainstorms, it looks unmarked. Got this for my husband for Christmas for our deck after our prior table finally rusted through, since that one was a real wood fire pit table. I wanted to move to a propane version to protect our wood deck from sparks or risk of fire, but my husband had been resistant because he likes real wood fires. This was incredibly easy to assemble - took us under 30 min ( I could have done by myself) and he was quite pleased with it once he got it out there. No more carrying the table down to the yard to burn out after we close up for the night! It was decently heat producing and very pretty, easy to start and I love the design feature that the center square cover magnetically attaches to the side of the table while in use, so you don’t have to find a place to set it aside.
