Description

The Earthquake Sound DBXi Series subwoofers, with their signature super wide edge , multi-layered, pressed and laminated-foam surround stands 1.25" high, allowing the cone to move well over 2" without any deformation. A progressive double spider design allows for long excursion with perfect linear motion, preventing the voice coil from rubbing. The tensile leads are stitched into the spider to eliminate the chance of flopping against the spider or cone during the extreme movement. While packing in all this power, Earthquake has not overlooked the importance of efficiency. A hot-forged single piece T-YOKE permits a clear flow of magnetic flux which increases the efficiency of the driver; a turbo forced-air cooling system keeps the four-wound high temperature bobbin voice coil running cold. The removable rubber gasket literally and figuratively seals the deal when it comes to the DBXi subwoofer. Not only does this feature have cosmetic purposes of covering the screws used to install the driver, it also doubles as a seal to prevent enclosure air leaks. If you have been searching for that trunk thumping, window rattling, seat vibrating, heart-pounding bass, look no further than Earthquake Sound's DBXi Series.

  • Sounds pretty good
Style: 15-inch
Bought this over a year ago and it just sat around after a unboxing. Sub Box is a custom I made with a 6in BAP Port tuned to 35hz (3/4 Hempwood used) but I used orginally with a Savard 15 (which was great). I would really like come back and give an update after I build a box specifically for this sub with a tuning of 20-28hz. I have it on a Orion 1500.1 @ 2ohms (around a 1000w). I haven't gain matched it nor used my DD1. Gain was set for a SinfulSounds sub I just took out. Already it sounds very good on Rap lows. Older music like Motown, Rock, classical-not recommended (at least in a ported box). If you listen to Rap, Trap, House, Dubstep, Raggae and other music with lows, you will like this subwoofer (ported). ... show more

  • Lots of Bass
Style: 15-inch
A killer subwoofer , lots of Bass . It needs at least 400 watts to make it loud . Use an Earthquake Pump 12 for the passive radiator for this Sub . It has 2 x 12 inch passive radiators back to back and looks like a rectangular port . Then you won't believe the amount of bass output !

  • Legendary
Style: 12-inch
Hits like a pro boxer, hard as hell. Have in a ported lg truck box with spacers so magnet will clear back of box. Hooked to 500 watt Rockford prime amp, hits very low. Wish I had room for 2.

  • Yup, they still got it!
Style: 15-inch
I got 2 15's with 2 15 inch SLAPS passive radiators in a sealed box that is around 2.65 cu ft per side after displacement. I have a Taramps Smart3 amp pushing them, along with an audio control epicenter. These things hit so dang hard and low, it's crazy... It feels like someone is hitting the back of your seat with a sledgehammer. Given that they are wired to 1ohm, and in a sealed box, I imagine that the box rise has my Ohms high enough that I am not even getting full power from that amp. I have found some songs that make you hold your breath. I wish I had bought them off Amazon, so I could get them cheaper, but I went with a local audio shop and overpaid. ... show more
