I bought this as a novelty item and a unique addition to my costume. But, oh my, this thing really works! First of all, if you pull it out at the next board meeting, you'll definitely be labeled as 'weird' (or worse)! *smile*

Unlike “joke/novelty/gag gift” ear trumpets, this is for real and works. About 55 years ago, I remember designer Buckminster Fuller saying he preferred an ear trumpet because it allows you to aim it toward what you’re trying to hear. And it doesn’t have batteries to go flat at the worst of times.
