I bought these to replace a few older sets that had failed. They are a little brighter than the older ones and far better constructed. The power brick on these is sealed so it can go directly outdoors (the older ones were made to go indoors, despite saying outdoor use, so I had to wrap the power supply bricks in plastic bags and duct tape those to the tree so the opening stayed pointed down, to keep water out. These lights are radically improved and are hip just plug and plat outdoors. The color is a nice warm white and a much better warm white than the older tech LEDs. The tubes seem a little thin walled compared to the older sets, but sturdy enough since they just dangle from the tree branches and it is not like you are handling them constantly. The tubes also seem better sealed than the older sets I had, although the older ones did not leak. These new ones just seem much better quality all around. Recommended! ... show more

These are a good value. I have a bunch of the 10-icicle strings. They're built well and they're bright, with one caveat: connecting three 10-icicle strings together on one driver will result in dimmer icicles at the end of the circuit. I do wonder if there is excessive resistance in the wiring or if the 20-icicle strings come with a better driver, since the product description states that two 20-icicle strings can be connected together. I don't have the longer strings to compare with. All that said, I do recommend these icicle lights. Overall, even the dimmest lights at the end of a circuit are relatively bright compared to most other Christmas lights, and the meteor shower effect looks great! ... show more

With only having the lights up a few days, I can only comment that the construction of the lights seem to be well made / rugged. I do like the secure weather tight method of connecting the strands together, and my family and neighbors have commented how much they like them. As a suggestion, I would like to see a speed adjustment option made available, adding control is always a good thing, but that would certainly add to the cost. For what these lights are, they are great, very bright, and exactly as advertised. Your customer service is fantastic and much appreciated. Reaching out to customers even after the sale is a strong indicator to the level of your commitment to customer satisfaction.     • 2 sets of 10 tubes, but only 1 outlet adapter (and chaining 2 sets causes major dimming)

This product is great if you only want to use 10 tubes. I ordered the 20 tube set - what you actually get is 2 sets of 10 tubes that you need to chain together. You have to do this because they only include one outlet adapter, so you can't use the two sets of 10 in different locations. Unfortunately, when both sets are chained together the set furthest from the outlet is noticeably dimmer. The instructions say you can even chain 3 10-tube sets together (which I did since I ordered 2 of the 20 tube boxes), but the third set was so comically dim that it simply isn't feasible. If they included an outlet adapter for every 10-tube set I would be fine with this product (even though it requires running more extension cords). But as sold it's kind of a letdown. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. These lights create a stunning effect. So simple, elegant and brilliant. I would definitely buy these again (and probably will). Many folks have commented about the length of each chain and the distance between each light. I posted a video of the lights with this review. The length of the front of my home with lights is almost 21 feet. I hung 2 sets of lights to form one "line" of lights that went from end-to-end in the video (2 chains spanned just over 20 feet). I used the third set of lights exactly in the middle of the first line of lights, but since these lights have an amazing cascading effect, I hung the 3rd chain of lights about 2-3 feet behind the first line and about 6-10" lower, at slightly staggered heights. This gave the 3rd chain of lights greater depth and created a gorgeous wall of cascading lights. I'd love to have an additional set or two of lights so that I can create an even greater depth, but I think this current setup is perfect for this year... plus there's always overkill where too many lights just becomes gaudy and I don't want that. Cars were literally slowing down and sometimes stopping to see my lights in action. I believe I'm the first in my neighborhood with this style of lights so folks were taking the lights in. I hope they were stopping because they loved it and not disgusted by them ;) I really love these lights. So elegant, I could watch them for hours. ... show more
