We use these everywhere! We use them in our pantry, closet, and our garage. They have unlimited uses for them. They are strong, hold up over time and do not crack or break... Unless you completely overload them, then of course they will. They really are great. We use them to keep our baking stuff together, our baged rice, beans and other bagged foods together. I had read that using a box like this is a relatively cheap way to plant hardy lilies in a pond. So far I have used 2 of them but since it has only been for 2 weeks or so I didn't feel right during a durability rating yet. I'll see how they last during winter and being submerged for so long but I'm not anticipating any issues. As far as pond use goes, the handles are great and they have no problems handling the 20 or so lbs of planting media that is in them. My biggest problem is that I could have used at least another 2" of depth but that's not the fault of the box. :) ... show more

Update: 1 year and one pandemic later, they are still excellent and show no signs of breaking under wear. I have no cracks or splits. I'm getting more to expand their usage. If you know what dimensions you need, you can't go wrong. If you don't and assume too much then you wind up writing a bad review. These tubs are more shallow than the type often used as restaurants for busing tables. Those are usually seven or 8 inches deep. These are 4.8 inches. I use them on my wire racks in a pantry. They serve as a type of drawer to hold short-term storage product like flour, sugar, pasta, honey, and other items where spills or leaks can happen.
