Why did you pick this product vs others?: I really love it. I am in California. The sun in summer makes me hate to drive my car. It is much better now after I have this roof in my front yard. It is strong and easy set up. The only thing to improve is the sand bag weight may not heavy enough for windy weather. I purchased bigger and heavier water bags to make it perfect. I like it.

I've used the Eagle Peak 8x8 Canopy Tent for several local vendor events, and I love it so far! It is pretty easy to set up, though I will say having 2 people makes it a lot easier. I've used this on windy days with 40lb weights on each leg, and the frame held steady without warping or breaking. I also love the carrying bag, as the wheels make transporting the tent to and from events a lot smoother. I usually only use this for shade, those looking for cover on rainy days may want something without the vent and with reinforced seams, as this model isn't leakproof enough in my opinion for more than a light drizzle.

Love this tent!! I've been saving for a pop up tent for my craft business for a year and then I found the mushroom print and it was just perfect. Super easy to set up and take down alone as a 5'1" woman, easy to move with the rolling carry case, and did fantastic in 3 rainy days at the Renaissance Faire. I did have a tiny bit of rain coming in through the ventilation flaps at the top, but that was only noticeable when it was at it's shortest setting over night; I never saw water dripping in throughout the day once I raised it. I had a ton of compliments on the mushroom topper and it got a lot of attention! The only reason I took a star off was the weight bags are very cheaply made; I filled one with sand, plopped it down from like 6 inches off the ground, and the stitches immediately burst and the sand leaked out. Ended up filling ziplok bags with sand and putting those into the weight bags, which did work for the weekend but I will be looking for alternative weights for my tent in the future.

I had very high hopes for this canopy. Besides providing shade in the hot sun, I was expecting it to keep water from dripping from the canopy. I had set up a table at Porcfest, laid out pamphlets, and it started to rain. I was thinking “Glad I spent the extra money on a good canopy or everything would get wet”. No sooner did that thought go through my mind, then water started to drip all over 100’s of dollars of printed material near the center of the tent. After removing the materials into a bin and then my tent, I closely inspected where the leaks were coming from. I thought it was the vent in the top, but no it wasn’t. It was from poor stitching. Holes in a few places near the stitches were letting water into the tent and onto several peoples hard work and printing money. I can not recommend this canopy as I have second one I bought for $50 bucks also, and that one didn’t leak at all. It was also 7 years old. This company or the people that make their product don’t seem to take pride in their product.
