I’m not one to ever write reviews, but after going on forums about this product and hearing so many mixed opinions about quality and durability I wanted to share. Let me start by saying, this thing looks epic. The durable textured finish, the thick beams, and simple clean look was exactly what I was looking for in my stock off-road build. I didn’t see anything specifically about weight capacity but I’m 200lbs and can crawl across it with little flex of the beams. Another review shows a guy standing on it just fine, so this thing is sturdy. I was gonna give this 4.5 stars bc it’s not perfect but it doesn’t deserve 4 stars in my opinion. Getting it on it quite a pain and practically impossible to do perfectly. Not sure if it’s normal when it comes to rain rail mounts but they won’t all my snug as can be. Took me and a buddy a solid hour to fail a few times at mounting it properly. In the end I had everything up there with bolts on loose, then drilled the brackets onto the rail rail mounts before drilling in the actual rack to the mounts. I’d jusy be sure to lift up the rack to take the tension off the brackets so they can latch on at the right angle. Still wasn’t absolutely perfect but we got it pretty close. ALSO, for my jeep specifically, I’ll have to grind down both driver side door brackets because the gap isn’t enough to clear it. For some reason my passenger side has a bigger gap (enough to fit a finger tip) and it clears it by a hair. Some reviews didn’t mention that problem so I think it just depends on the XJ. My only other issue is I just didn’t realize how noisy it would be… doesn’t bug me too much yet, we’ll see if I come back to update this. Definitely recommend if this is the style you want 🙌 ... show more

I had been looking for the right roof rack for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee SE 4 door.This is it. Very well built with heavy duty materials ( took two people to place on top of my Jeep ). I like the flat style, does not stick u high. Very sturdy cross members so straps can be used to secure loads.

Great rack, very sturdy. Love the rugged finish and stainless steel hardware. The mounting bracket did conflict with the door operation; however, this was solved quickly with an angle grinder.

Nice Rack! Its strong, like really strong, and it was fairly easy to install. There is a lot of hardware but take it one at a time. I recommend having someone else to help place it on your roof. At first, I hand tightened the clamps to the drip rail then I placed the rack on top. Then I tightened the side bolts and then the top ones, I then loosened the side bolts and put weight on the rack, my body weight, roughly 180 pounds, then I tightened everything down for a final time. You can see in the first photo I am literally standing on two cross bars, and nothing is moving or breaking. Only time will tell how good of a rack this is, but it seems really nice! ... show more

Ordered this before a trip, and it showed up two days early! Super easy to assemble, and VERY sturdy! Had to adjust it once it was on the Cherokee (2000 4 door) because the driver side doors were rubbing on the brackets a little. Installation tip: put everything together, but keep all of the bracket bolts loose. It'll be easier to make adjustments until you're happy with the fitment. Very study and easy to install. Packaging was very good. I did have one problem … one of the bolts/nuts for the deck assembly seized on install so I had to cut it off and replace it with my own money. Also, one of the bolts for the assembly to connect the deck to the Jeep would not screw all the way in. ... show more

very easy to put together takes 2 people to put on but once its on your good takes some minor adjusting i had to trim one if the brackets down a bit cause it hit the top of my door but other than that is sturdy and the mounting works great
