Small, portable, easy to use, quiet, airflow phenomenal, and the appearance gets some comments. Battery life for me is not long enough, but I bought 2 so I always have one charged ready to go. I got my long awaited one (as it sold out immediately) finally and it beat QVC's order which was several weeks before my Amazon order. I love it. The only color available was the flesh colored one, which will go with many outfits. Perhaps they will dream up other colors later because it has been a sell out all over. I prefer the design of the Dyson to many others out there. The price was although high, but you buy quality with Dyson. I just don't tolerate heat well. I am so happy to have found this one as the size will slip in some handbags. I like that its appearance is low key, and not a large item hanging from your neck. It can sit on your desk, night stand, or whatever, or can go with you. It comes with a little bag to place it in. Me, I think it needs a bit of bling. Make it a fashion statement Dyson!! This is a game changer for me. There are many designs out there and I actually never thought of buying one because they can look a bit tacky. But Dyson made it look a bit more classy and demure. Everyone needs one. It works well. The airflow is amazing. This is one purchase I am happy I made. I was truely on the fence having not seen it in person. I wanted to like the Dyson HushJet™ Mini Cool Personal Fan, but it ended up being disappointing in several ways, especially for outdoor use. The biggest issue is the weight. When worn around the neck for more than a short period, it feels surprisingly heavy and awkward. The lanyard also becomes uncomfortable if it’s directly touching your skin for more than about 15 minutes. It starts to irritate and doesn’t feel designed for extended wear. The shape of the fan is also odd. It doesn’t sit naturally against the body and just kind of dangles weirdly when hanging around your neck. A flatter, more streamlined design would have made a huge difference in comfort. Another downside is the lanyard adjustment system. It’s only adjustable to a certain point instead of allowing a fully customizable fit, so depending on your height or preference, it may either hang too low or sit awkwardly. The adjustment also doesn’t feel very refined. Performance-wise, it did not help much outside on a very hot sunny day. If the sun is blasting directly on you, the airflow simply isn’t strong enough to actually cool you down in any meaningful way. Indoors or in mild conditions it may be okay, but outside in real summer heat it was ineffective for me. For the price and Dyson branding, I expected a more ergonomic shape, a better-designed lanyard, and stronger real-world cooling performance outdoors. ... show more

I recently picked up this new Dyson HushJet mini fan, and as a baseball mom constantly bouncing between fields with two young boys, this little fan has been a total game-changer. First off—the airflow is seriously impressive for such a compact device. Don’t let the size fool y’all…this thing can move air! Whether I’m sitting in the bleachers or setting up camp near the dugout, it keeps me cool even on those hot, sticky game days here in Texas and Florida. Battery life on this fan is fantastic, and I’ve had no issues with it needing a boost when I need it most. (Note: I do typically run it on the 1-3 speeds and not on “full blast”. I also always have a portable charger and cord with me juuuuuuust in case I need to power it up.) The design is another big win. It’s sleek, lightweight, and easy to toss in my bag along with snacks, water bottles, and all the other “mom essentials.” It doesn’t take up much space, which is huge when you’re already carrying half your house to the ballfield. (IYKYK) Now, just to keep it real… on the higher speeds, it does get a bit loud. Not a dealbreaker by any means, but you’ll definitely notice it if you crank it all the way up. Also, the “blush” color? It looks more like a soft ivory in photos, but in person it’s definitely a non-question-about-it pink tone. Still pretty, just something to be aware of if you’re looking for a neutral color. And while the design and performance are top-notch, it’s not exactly budget-friendly. If you’re trying to stretch every dollar, this might feel like a splurge. Overall though, I love it. It’s powerful, portable, and perfect for life on the sidelines. I just bought this and I really want to like it, but I’m afraid I might be sending back. I bought this because they said how quiet it was. My purpose was a personal fan in church where I seem to get really hot. (May be too much guilt.) It’s definitely too loud. I turned this on in my living room and went all the way into the kitchen and my wife could hear the fan on the low setting with the tv going. It would definitely be a disturbance in church or any other quiet setting. Air flow is great, but the noise is definitely an issue that I may not be able to get over. ... show more
