Description

It’s been 20 years since the events of the original game. The virus won, and humanity is slowly dying. You play as Aiden Caldwell, a wandering Pilgrim who delivers goods, brings news, and connects the few remaining survivor settlements in barren lands devastated by the zombie virus. However, your true goal is to find your little sister Mia, who you left behind as a kid to escape Dr. Waltz's torturous experiments. Haunted by the past, you eventually make the decision to confront it when you learn that Mia may still be alive in Villedor — the last city standing on Earth.

  • PURE AWESOMENESS XBOX VERSION!!!
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Standard
In 2015 Dying Light blew me away. The gameplay, music, story and atmosphere were all great. Fast forward to 2022 and DL1 still plays great but it would be nice to have some progression?? Little change never hurt huh? A little variety? Now I do think that DL and State of Decay 2 are the greatest Zombie games ever made, but with Dying Light 2 we get another entry on that short list. The graphics look excellent and the frame rate is smooth after Techland released the latest patch for the Xbox Series X. VRR with at least 60 FPS throughout? That will do just fine. The combat is so weighty and beefy in this game. Techland made the decision to pretty much eliminate firearms this time and I’m glad. This is about melee combat baby! Brutal sounds of metal hitting metal “CLANK!” or wood or flesh! We get a blocking mechanic as well now.. not just the dodging and throwing maneuvering of the first game. The longer you play and the more you try, the more this game rewards you just like DL1, and you meet some provocative and shady characters along the way. What’s not to like? If you like large maps, free roam, substantial, weighty & brutal combat, a meandering and interesting story with an ominous soundtrack to back it all up, then this game is for you. Oh and yes.. it is creepy just like DL1! Good creepy fun! Enough said. ... show more

Dead Island 2 is never going to happen even though I'm still holding out hope. Dying Light 2 was a no-brainer while we all patiently wait another decade for Dead Island 2. The parkour and combat is actually really fun in this game. It's easy to forget there's a story while you're off hacking away at Larry and jumping off cars to dropkick Sally back to the local deli. The only annoyance is the servers with multiplayer. Once players randomly get dropped/disconnected, even though internet is stronger than an Ox, it's a dreadful game of quitting and restarting to have to boys back in town. Overall, I really like the game. It looks and plays great. What may seem like a small downside adds up over time... Why did they get rid of weapon repairs and the ability to throw destroyed weapons? It gives little to no incentive to mod weapons knowing they're not going to last very long before you replace it with a dinky table leg. ... show more

  • Talking scenes almost ruin game flow
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Standard
Playing on series x. Game is not as good as original but still is a good game. Main complaint are frequent talking scenes that drastically slow down the game. You can skip through them but still... It's alot. Game play/fighting /co-op is great. Occasional bugs but not bad.

  • Great
Platform: Xbox Series X Edition: Standard
One of the best games I have played in a long time. Great graphics. Even good performance on Xbox One. Also, I have seen the complaints about there not being guns. I was concerned that that would take away from the game (being a fan of the first one). However, I didn't find that it took away from my experience. ... show more
