As soon as I saw this product I thought of the perfect use for it. Sitting on the beach or by the lake side, when you take your wine and cups with you to watch the sunset its so romantic and just a nice way to end an enjoyable day. These rechargeable lampshades are little work horses. They have an actual bottle stopper for stopping up the wine bottle after you've popped the cork, a light that can illuminate you under candlelight-looking lamp light and actually see who youre enjoying the evening, the view, and the conversation with, (oh and the light can change colors if you want to get a little crazy with your bad self!), it dims and brightens with just a touch - nice... and smooth move. You don't like wine? Well, it also works on liquor bottles if you're the really frisky type and have brought that out with you. Anyway, this would make a great gift for a retiring person or couple, an anniversary gift for some couple(s) you admire, or a loving gift to your partner when you fix up a little charcuterie mix in the picnic basket, throw in the wine and one or both of these lamp shades (make sure you've charged them up), grab the beach chairs, and head out to catch the sun going down with your honey.     • Amazing USB Charged Lamps for Wine Lovers

The longer I have and am using this set of 2 lights, the greater I'm enjoying these. When I first got these USB charged lamps, I thought the lamp tops seemed over heavy. Using these, I find they are well balanced and do not tip over due to their size. I cannot confirm they will never tip over but so far they have withstood being on a table where cats pass them and have not knocked them over. I love that I can use different wine bottles to remember my favorite local wineries as the base of these lights. The USB charging cords make it so easy to move these lamps around which is another strong plus for me. The light - which cycles through several shades - for white lights to different colored lights make these lights very appealing. For the first light when the on button is pressed, the light is bright enough that if I were to read something right by it, I can see to read. To me, this is amazing. My only 'nit' with this is I have to repeatedly pressed the on/off button repeatedly to cycle through all of the colors to turn the lamps off. Even with this drawback, my rating is 5 stars. These are a great addition to some trophy bottles of wine that we have enjoyed over the years. The multicolor function is great. It takes a while to charge the units, but they seem to last longer than another version that I’ve tried in the past.

These really are pretty cool. I love that the shade part of this is made out of metal and a shiny, glossy. gold colored metal at that. The 2-pack offering is awesome, because you will definitely want at least a pair of these to decorate properly. We got this 2 pack gold and 2 more black ones to alternate next to each other along our bar and it looks pretty great. I think we mostly used large base liquor bottles like Maker's Mark and Crown to prevent tipping. I also filled the bottles with water and red and green food coloring for the holidays. My only gripe with this is the stopper system. Some of the newer ones use a silicone connector that slides around the outside of the bottle's pour spout opening instead of a stopper that goes inside the bottle opening. This would allow you, in conjunction, to also put the firefly-type lights inside the bottle, which use a plastic battery-filled cork that goes inside the pour spout if the cork is pushed down far enough. Other than that, these are a great buy. They are truly RGB as mentioned and you also get the 3 shades of white. I wish 4.5 stars was an option. ... show more
