  • Worked
After plunging the toilet and running a toilet auger but no drainage was occurring. I was getting water backing up into the toilet when I ran the faucet. I knew I would need to pull the toilet. Instead of running a cable down the line I wanted to try this first and it worked. Great affordable tool.

  • An excellent product to have on hand
This is an excellent product to add to your toolbox inventory. I've used a comparable product since 1980s and, on numerous occasions it has quickly solved a problem in the old houses I used to work on, where other products did not work on. . No, this is not a cure all that can be used on all plumbing blockages and, sometimes you will need to use other means like Wet/dry Vacs to suck or blow, snakes, or even sewer pressure augers. But it definitely has its place to use. this is small and easy to use for blockages downline where a cleanout plug is readily available. By expanding, it seals the pipe and, by using water pressure, will usually push any offending blockage downstream and into the larger sewer line. Of course, every tool has its uses and its limitations. This is no different. When deciding when to use this, you should first determine where the blockage might be. If it is downstream in the vent line or, if there are other drainpipes between where you wish to use this and the blockage, this will not work since the water will simply fill the other pipes and pressure will not build up... It will also not make sharp turns. For instance, if going into a vanity drain, into the wall that intersects the downward drain/vent stack and, if the blockage is below towards the sewer, it cannot make that turn and if you try, it will probably get stuck. In that case it would be best to go from the roof down the vent stack to just above the blockage. While this is a perfect size for most blockages, working on pipes as large as 3 inches, It will not, as one picture shows go down a vanity sink drain. You must be able to insert this at least 6 inches into a pipe for the rubber bladder to properly expand, seal the pipe from backflow and allow the water pressure to build and do its magic. It will also not work on a shower or bathtub drain as it would need to make a sharp turn towards the P-trap and it will not properly fit in such a restricted drain. All in all, this is really a very good product to have on hand and to use if you have a sewer blockage. ... show more

  • Easier than calling a plumber
I had a slow drain and my auger just couldn't seem to grab whatever was slowing it down. Enter the duratech drain bladder. I was able to attach this to my garden hose and push it down the drain. Once it was in the drain I turned the water on and let it run. Once the bladder expanded to the size of the pipe it began blasting a stream of concentrated water down the drain and loosened up the clog. My once piece of advice would be to slowly turn the water on and let the pressure build up then let it go full force. If you have older pipes expanding the bladder too quickly could lead to a burst pipe and that would be worse than a clog. ... show more

  • Saves money not having to call a plumber for clogs!
DURATECH Drain Bladder has an amazing ability to clear nearly any clog with ease. Had a kitchen drain backup, and being familiar with bladders, I knew I just had to order DURATECH Drain Bladder to unclog it! Simply attach a garden hose, turn on water and the bladder increases in diameter and then forcefully pushes out the clog! This was a successful process that forced the clog all the way to the main where the pipe diameter is larger and flow is much better to further push the clog debris to the street main. No problems since! Definitely saves money not having to call a plumber just to unclog stubborn drains inside standard household pipe system. Ships fast. Nice neat package. Price is great and pays for itself on your first use! Highly highly recommended! No home should be without! ... show more
