As a kit, this presents a good value, as it includes the grinder itself, a 4Ah battery, a charger, two different metal guards, a decent number of wheels to get you started, and a sturdy storage case. It's comparable to other grinders around and even above this price point to an extent, and I'm generally pleased with the performance and build quality of the grinder itself. That said, I'm really not a fan of the charger for a couple different reasons: 1. There're basically no grip between the battery and charger, so it can initially feel as though the battery isn't in the charger properly. Plus, while the battery mounts on the charger at a slight downward angle to account for the lack of grip, it's really too easy to bump the battery and cause it to stop charging. 2. The charger takes its LED indicator lights a bit too far, making it unintuitive to read. This is a problem when you consider the first issue with the charger I just mentioned, as you want to be able to tell at a glance whether the battery and charger are properly connected. Even some labels for the LEDs would make this less of an issue, but this information is instead relegated to the manual, so make sure you hold onto the manual. There're a lot of blinking going on between the LEDs, as well, and they're quite bright, so it can be distracting having this charger in your periphery when you're working on something else. Anyway, this is a nice little kit, but I'm really not a fan of the charger.

I thought Duratech were mostly making hand tools, but this is actually a pretty decent power tool. It's comfortable to hold and use and the battery life seems decent. I've been able to take it down to make some cuts on my Jeep frame without having to drag a couple extension cords all the way out to it, so that is nice. Time will tell if it lasts or not, but I have seen no early indications that it won't.

Features I like: * Great carrying case * Spanner storage in the auxiliary handle * Wheel guards are easy on and off * Sophisticated battery charger Features that could be improved: * The spindle lock button spring is too stiff making it hard to depress and hold while using the spanner * The part diagram in the manual is on page 2 while the numbered key for it is on page 10! They should both be visible without turning pages (as shown in one of the attached photos. * Grinder cannot be stored in the case with the cutting wheel guard attached I haven't had the tool long enough to comment on its staying power or reliability. I did use it to cut off some nails that remained in a piece of molding that I repurposed. The actual cutting was accomplished quickly and easily. The slowest part was changing the wheel guard and then trying to lock the spindle with my left thumb while tightening the flange with the spanner in my right hand.

This angle grinder is very heavy duty for a cordless power tool. Just the heft of it makes you want to use the auxiliary support handle. I really like that the handle can be threaded on in each three positions. This makes it especially suited to controlling the power tool when orienting the cutting disc in a vertical position. The ergonomics are good, from the shape of the handle to the angle the battery attaches, so that it's out of the way of your wrist. The guards are very well designed, with locking levers for ease of installation/removal. I really like the more enclosed guard they include for cutting discs. And last but not least, the case is designed so that the tool can remain assembled, minus the battery, of course!

I have several Duratech tools in my arsenal but this is my first Duratech power tool. As with the other tools that I am have I am very impressed with the quality of this product. This is a nice 4-1/2" angle grinder with a 20 volt battery and charger. The battery has a four LED indicator letting you know how much power you have left. The tool itself is well designed has a good feel to it and the plastic parts do not seem cheap. Everything fits nicely in a sturdy carry case as well. I would say this is comparable to some of my more well-known brand power tools.

Its a great grinder, works really well, but I could go to a box store and get a well known brand name cordless grinder for about the same price. Its a hard sell for me because of this, not sure I would encourage anyone to spend their money on this item. It does come with two batteries, a few blades, and a nice carrying case. The extra battery does give me some assurance in that dept, but who knows how well any of this tool is made.

For a battery powered angle grinder it works well. It comes in a nice case with a few flap and cutting disks. It also comes with two different guards and multiple locations for you to mount the handle depending on the job you’re doing. Overall its a great value for someone who does light grinding work.

The media could not be loaded. Having used several of the so-called "top of the line" grinders I think this one from Duratech can compete. Good power for a battery grinder, so cutting and grinding can be done with the tool. Nice feel in the hand and overall quality as I've seen in other Duratech tools.
