  • A really neat minipc
Size: 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: N100
I had heard of the mini Mac. I saw these about 2 months ago just as the New Year started. And I really wanted to get when it looks so sleek and neat. I watched a number of YouTube videos about these things. I weighed the pros and cons of them. I purchased one Thursday night and it arrived yesterday. I'm quickly loading it up with all my favorite software. I actually find that the device works pretty well. I haven't had any issues with it since yesterday afternoon. I actually think it's a neat thing to have. The performance is like they said it is. I find that when I turn it on it is quiet I don't even hear anything because it's all solid state. It boots up really fast. I have the 16 GB 1 TB model. You can get this all the way up to 64 GB 2 terabytes. The USB ports are labeled. The HDMI ports are labeled. There's a USB c drive on here or plug in thing. There's a Kensington lock on here. Even a slot for a mini or a micro SD card. It's easy to set up and it has all the features of Windows pro. I had to tweak some of the settings to my liking. But it's working and I was able to get it going in about maybe 15-20 minutes. you can plug all of your favorite peripherals into it. I plugged two USB 3.0 multi-port devices so I can get more out of it. I plugged in my 8 terabyte and my 4 TB external hard drives and they work just fine. I also plugged in a CD DVD ROM recording thing. And it does just fine ... show more

  • Nice compact size
Size: 16GB RAM | 1TB SSD Style: N100
Works well & is very small in size as I set it up next to my Windows 10 desk top PC. It runs fast so I'm happy with it. All my computers are windows 10 & can't be upgraded to 11 so I wanted a computer (11) that I can use on internet after Oct 2025 when MS stops updating 10. I didn't want to spend a lot so this fit the bill. I don't play games so I can't speak on that capability. Seems to be good quality. I bought a second one two months later (same model as the first) since it was on sale for a lower cost. This second Mini was a little harder setting up I think because the 2nd one manufactured earlier then the first one I got and perhaps MS may have made changes to the 11pro system (the first one had a ser# 500 higher then the second one). Both mini are working fine & I don't have any issues. ... show more

  • All excellent except: Sound
Size: 16GB RAM | 512GB SSD Style: N100
I only have had this computer a few weeks and the output for the speakers stopped working. I had to use the USB for getting the speakers to work. I guess I’ll just have to live with what I got and I’m telling you this so you’ll know in advance that there are some problems with this computer. I’ve read about the HDMI problem that some people are having other than that. It seems excellent. ... show more

  • Small, Fast, Easy, Low Cost!
Size: 16GB RAM | 128GB SSD Style: N5095A
This little PC was packaged nicely, super easy to install, I needed a real HDMI port for my Monitor and it had one. Has plenty of USB ports and a real 1G network port. Everything worked out of the box even my off brand USB WebCam. The network (I used the hard wired option) actuuslly ran at 1G. THis little box supports 2 HDMI montors if you need it. This is the perfect little PC for browsing and almost any every day Windows task. Totally quiet and way lower power than my last PC. I am not a gamer so can't comment on that. Honestly my expectations were much lower I am way happy, I wonder why I put this decision off so long ... show more

  • PC as advertised but BIG issue with Win11 Pro and Support.
Size: 16GB RAM | 2TB SSD Style: N100
The PC itself is exactly as expected; small, lots of ports, sleek, and performs as advertised. But there is an issue with updating Win 11 Pro . Even though I purchased it in Nov on 2024, it came with build 2H21 (2021 build). When trying to upgrade from the Microsoft site, it errors out saying its a version of Windows Go (used to boot from USB sticks) and refuses to upgrade. Several messages to support have yielded no response which is terrible support. Beware of the inability to upgrade the OS. ... show more

  • Very nice computer.
Size: 64GB RAM | 2TB SSD Style: i9-11900H
Very fast and powerful. The os was out of date when it arrived, I guess. I can't update certain files for some reason.

  • Truth
Size: 16GB RAM | 128GB SSD Style: N5095A
I built a custom made ROG computer last year and when my son was home for summer break from college, he got the opportunity to test it out. I'm not a gamer but I wanted to build something powerful. When he was returning to college, he asked me if I could build him one and I ended up gifting it to him. I had other options such as a laptop and a ClearCube (running VDI to connect to work) I've always been interested in a a micro pc but I've been skeptical about price and quality. Based on price, I kept returning to this one. After changing up operating systems on the clearcube (Google OS/Linux/Statodesk) and failing to get Win10 and 11 (x64) installed on one of them, the feverish push to continue testing something helped me make my decision. I went with the J1. I ordered one with a smaller drive knowing that I had a few spare M.2 drives and would attempt to clone to a 1TB drive. Success! My tips for you is to look at the processor the Cybergeek model comes with and look to see what limitations it may have. The J1 for instance is limited to 16gb memory. That really wasn't an issue for me since I'm not using it for gaming but using it more as an every day pc which I will use to connect to work using the Horizon VDI client. Getting to the guts of this PC, you just need to remove the 4 screws under the rubber feet on the bottom. Granted, opening up the unit will likely void the warranty. I wasn't too concerned with this as it is a test machine for me and at around $160. Inside I have two 8gig PC4-3000 SODIMM memory chips (different manufacturers to be honest) and a 128gig M.2 drive, which I updated to 1tb.) I cloned the drive and normally if there is a recovery or a partition after the C: partition, you need to delete that partition to extend it. (Google it if you need instructions) I've only had the J1 for a couple of days so I'll give it 5 stars based on my expectations. I would give it 2 to 3 stars for gaming. I haven't tested any games yet but ran it through a bench mark test. I'm going to say it is your average every day home pc that is used to browse the web, run your office applications and for me, I may use the larger drive to move over some of my pictures/multimedia stuff. I know people are sometimes sensitive about fan noise. Heck, I work in IT, lol. The fan is slightly louder than my clearcube and I'm pretty sure if I hang it on the backside of my monitor, I may not even notice it. With everything I have reviewed so far, your mileage may vary. Since it's only been a couple of days, I will likely update the review at a later date to report on any changes. I would suggest you take a look at other reviews before purchasing. There was one concerning downloading "google", that wasn't an issue for me. There was a "power issue" and again, it's been only a few days so I can't comment on that. Since I have experience with various computer peripherals, it's hard for me to comment on what the issue was and if it could have been an easy fix or an issue with the unit itself. If it happens to me, I'll let you know :-) ... show more
