Just purchased and installed into a 2014 GMC Acadia factory head unit via a separate equalizer (not need as it has high input level/speaker terminal acceptance) so far so good, balances out the signal and bass. I have a factory head unit, Alpine speakers, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp, running 4 gauge power and grounding. I still need to break-in the sub but I'm satisfied as it rounds up the bottom end where it was lacking, if you're looking to wake people up or break your windows with bass look elsewhere but if your looking to round our system and can easily relocate to another vehicle, this is a solid choice, I also ordered their 8 gauge power and grounding cable, these are pure copper wires and served me well, are these pure 8 gauge wires, honestly the jacket is a bit thick, I'm old school so I'm used to seeing a lot of wires and small jacking/sleeving but they are solid. ... show more

I'm very pleased. For the money, it hits. I'm still surprised sometimes by the impact I can get out of just this, and I've been pushing it for months and had zero problems. Fits great too under the F-150 back bench seat.

    • Pretty decent, way better then the cheap truck subs that are 100 or so dollars.
For the size and price, ease of installation with this sub. It's great!!! Sound and bass is awesome. It's more of a 2 ohm sounding setup then a 4 ohm if that makes any sense.

    • DS-18…looks cool but sucks!
This down-facing 10” woofer was pretty decent. Installed it in my new BMW X4M Competition, which has the perfect place underneath the trunk board. Sounded just as expected…while it lasted. Spent over $300 on this and it only lasted me 3 weeks. Didn’t even get to pump it up much. The 20A fuse was blown so I thought it was just the fuse…but it was not! I remember wondering how the fuse blew when I didn’t even blast it. Took it to a professional to see if I installed it improperly, which I didn’t. He laughed and asked me if I bought this low-quality woofer from Alibaba. It turned out my amp blew. Again, how when I didn’t blast it!! You get what you pay for…but expected it to last longer than 3 weeks for that price. I’m just going to buy the Audison or the Kicker 10” down-facing self-amplified subwoofer. I’m sure they will last longer than 3 weeks. If I was in the States, I would’ve returned it, but live overseas…and didn’t want to hassle with it. I do not recommend!!! Wanted to save money, but should’ve spent more for more quality!! ... show more

Hits like a freight train in the back of a hatchback. People think I have a ported 12 in there. Just be sure to secure it good in your trunk because it will move around for sure! I also found that it played better when I face the woofer to the backseat instead of downfiring because the cone was hitting on the trunk floor when I had it facing down… Obviously its not gonna rattle your panels off but it does rattle the headliner mirrors and seats lol Its so much for its size. Will update after about 2 weeks of playing it. ... show more
