I bought this kit to water my plants while I went on a 2 week vacation. I have 7 pots, 2 are big flower bushes, and the other 5 are garden vegetables. I selected this kit because it had the water timer, had a lot of hose, different types of water drips and sprays and everything else I would need. It came in 2 days as usual and I was surprised how compact the box was. Everything was there very cleverly packed and safe. I was able to set it all up in less than 2 hours and had it working. Over the next few days I swapped out a few of the dripper/sprayers to get the right amount of water. All the dripper/sprayers had adjustable water outputs, that made it super easy to get everything adjusted perfect. Well, I'm back from vacation and everything worked perfect! I came to some red juicy tomatoes thanks to this kit. I am going to leave it all installed as it's doing a better job than I can. Now I can spend my time pruning and weeding instead of walking around with a water can for an hour. I'll update this if I run into any problems. Great product, highly recommended.

The instructions that came with that were way more complicated than I needed to be. It does take some planning on your part to know just how you wanna lay it out and what kind of sprinkler/drip head you want to install the end of each of your lines. Would like to have had more of the larger teething, but I made it work and the timer is perfect. It worked perfectly. I couldn’t ask for more except for better and more clear instructions because I almost sent it back. It seemed overwhelming to me at first, but just keep it simple and you’ll be fine.!

First off, I really like this system. It is so easy to set up. You don't get a lot of the larger hose, so make sure you order more of that if you have a long run from your spigot. The timer is very easy to set and the water is easy to adjust to your needs. THAT BEING SAID...... I have changed this review from one star to five stars. I initially ordered two of these systems. One works perfectly. The other timer stopped working (two days after my return window closed) and I needed a new one. I contacted the company but they were slow in replying so I went directly to Amazon customer service. Even though I was outside the return window by over a week, Amazon made an exception and let me return the item for a refund. I ordered a replacement which was there the next morning. It works perfectly. Even though there was no reply from the company for several days, which is why I went to Amazon the company did contact me and offered a full refund, which I refused since Amazon had already worked it out for me. Pros: VERY easy to set up. Just cut to length, slide a twist connector onto the hose, slide the hose over the inlet of the sprinkler and twist the connector to tighten the hose. Easy! The connectors for the timer work the same. Cons: You don't get a lot of the 3/8" hose. Make sure you are aware of this before you order. You will want enough of the 3/8" hose to run from your spigot all the way through the area where you are watering so you can splice in the large 3/8" "reducer" connectors that you will use to connect the 1/4" hose to. My Advice: Map out your system and decide what connectors you will need. Order additional connectors/hose at the same time that you order this system. The hose is very flexible, so going around 90 degree corners doesn't really require a 90 degree connector. Just bend it around the corner without crimping the hose. I ordered 100' of 3/8" hose and needed additional straight connectors, which I ordered separately. You might need to order more if you are extending the 3/8" hose. I think you will really like this product. I use one system to water all of our in-ground plants around the front of our house, and the other to water the plants on our lanai. If we are gone for an extended time, our plants are still well taken care of.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Horrible cheap quality parts that break in just weeks. I bought two of these to use throughout my yards. Since installing just back 2 months ago, both splitter valves that connect to the main unit itself broke off. The plastic snapped at the threads on both of them. Then today, one of the fittings did the same thing and soaked me in water. I wouldn’t buy this product ever again. I need to go replace the parts that broke with copper fittings and hope it all works out.

The instructions were not great, but it was easy to setup once I got started. Also, there are not a lot of sprinklers and I had to order more for my garden. There was plenty of the thin tubing, but I could have used more of the thicker tubing. Overall it is a good product and does the job.
