I purchased this model (DR-HAF001) and the slightly smaller CF-315. The CF-315 has operated perfectly. The DR-HAF001 made a humming noise. I contacted DREO customer support and spoke with Tracy, who cheerfully arranged a return and kept in touch to help track shipment progress. The replacement fan has operated smoothly and quietly. Both fans are compact yet push a large volume of air for their size. They are sturdily built and have features most others do not - a remote with all functions, an on/off timer (lets you set start/stop times up to 8 hours in advance), automatic mode (speed automatically adjusts to changing temperatures), 120-degree oscillation, child lock, auto-off LED display and a 90-degree fan housing tilt. It does what I need it to do. The device is small enough that it fits under my desk just fine without eliminating leg room. It's powerful enough that it'll even hit me from across the room if the chair isn't in the way first. The remote makes it the easiest thing to use. The only draw back is the lack of tactile buttons. The controls on the front are touch, which gives it a nice aesthetic, I guess. Sometimes I wish I could turn it off easily with a toe or a finger without having to find out where I put the remote on my desk (yes... it's a bit messy). It's not really been a problem before. Just that if you have to turn it off or change its settings, the controls are touch and they go to sleep by dimming so you can't see where they are. Good thing is that if you touch any of the controls, the lights come back on and nothing actually happened, so THEN you can actually change things. if you're looking for a remote fan, this would be one of them. If you need something that has tactile buttons that are easy to operate, you might want to look elsewhere. I just needed something remote as it's under my desk a bit out of reach and I don't want to bend over to turn it on. I keep it on setting 1 and it's pretty quiet. Up to setting 4 it's still quieter than my other fans, though not quite as powerful as a larger box fan. It's very sufficient for what I use it for. ... show more

I absolutely love this fan. It's quite, works great, I love having the remote and the display turns off after a while so there's no light coming from it as I try to sleep. The air flow is great, light weight, nice and sturdy and the option to have it oscillating or not is cool. I use it for my restroom since there is not really good circulation in there. It has been really helpful and is really strong. It’s a little loud, but you can turn the noise off.Not heavy and easy to move from room to room. A good purchase, id say.
