On high, the fan noise is noticeable, but on low, the noise is minor and we find it works as a low-volume, white-noise generator as well. The media could not be loaded. I bought this Dreo 9” fan on 6/1/23 to replace a small Vornado FIT Fold-Up 2 speed personal fan I had (model CR1-0225-70). I attached a picture of both the old Vornado fold up fan and the new Dreo fan and as you can see, the Dreo is a much bigger fan. I also own a larger Vornado table top fan which is much larger than this 9” Dreo and I rather have this little Dreo fan by comparison. The Dreo is also so much easier to clean because in my experience, the downside in buying any Vornado model fan is that they are all truly a pain to clean and to keep them clean. I think ease to cleaning a fan is one of the most important features because if it is such a project to clean them, we get lazy to keep them clean. So let me just say that I bought my Vornado fold up fan in Sept 2019 (less than 4 years ago) and shortly after purchasing it but too late to return it, one of the three internal screws holding the motor in place actually fell out. It still worked without the one screw although it was a bit nosier. However, it never really provided a strong airflow even on high speed despite it was positioned on my nightstand blowing right at me. Then a few months ago, the blade kept stopping and then suddenly it just stopped working. Luckily, I had already been researching for its replacement. I read so many Amazon reviews for probably every small fan model out there. I also did a lot of online research with articles that provided reviews and recommendations. After all that, I decided on purchasing this Dreo FoxOne Fan. Model DR-HAF002. ASIN B0BSH75KZ3. It’s a 9 Inch, 70ft Strong Airflow, 120° adjustable tilt, 28db Low Noise, Quiet, 3 Speeds. This is a great small fan and I would highly recommend. 3 speeds and quiet. The tilt range is better than any other fan I looked at. I set it on a stool just behind my nightstand because it was a little too big to put right on the nightstand next to me. Also, it has such a strong air flow on the low setting that I actually have to tilt it up because it gets so chilly. Which is nice because I just keep it on all the time when I’m in bed and I have it pointing straight at me when I need air and when it gets too much, I just reach over and tilt it upwards with one click. I truly love my new fan and so far, I’m very satisfied! What actually leaned me towards this particular fan model was the 120° adjustable tilt of this fan. It has 5 set positions it locks into. 1st position faces downward at 120° 2nd position faces straight forward at 90° 3rd position faces slightly upward at 60° 4th position faces upward at 30° 5th position faces upward at 0° and is fully horizontal towards the ceiling. I would have preferred if the fan would allow more freedom in position but I’m still satisfied with the overall range it provides. Also take note that there are no other small fans that I found currently on the market that feature the 120° downward or 0° full horizontal positions. The 120° downward position is great when I’m lying in a bed in a sleeping position whereas my previous Vornado, I had to put a book or something on the backend of the stand to tilt it forward so the air flow could reach me while lying down which really helps with hot flashes during the night. I was lucky to be able to do that with the Vornado because other fans would likely be too top heavy and fall over. You can also hang it from the wall or ceiling which is why it has the fully horizontal position because when hanging, it’s actually upside down and at the horizontal position, the air flows downward very nicely into the room. I will update my review if anything changes but so far after just 2 months, I would 100% recommend this Dreo FoxOne Fan. Model DR-HAF002. ASIN B0BSH75KZ3. ... show more

    • Great little fan that puts out a lot of air.

First of all, I'm giving it just 4 stars only because it lacks a horizontal rotation feature, which would be nice for most cases, however, for my own personal use, I don't even need a rotation feature. I bought this as a replacement for an air circulation fan for my A/V equipment (surround receiver and disc players). As most folks know, those appliances can get pretty hot and they tend to lack internal fans to blow the hot air out of their encasements. At least that's what I've noticed. I could be wrong, I don't know. But with that aside, here's what I've got set up. I just recently had to buy a new surround receiver and 4K disc player. I sat the disc player on top of the receiver. But here's the deal with that. The receiver has its heating vents on top. So sitting the disc player (a Sony UBP-X700), which is pretty small, still covers a good portion of those vents. So what I did was to split a 2x piece of wood about 8" long, and put each half at the front and back of the unit to raise it off the surround receiver, creating an open channel under the player from left to right. My old fan that I had for this cooling purpose was old and wasn't working well after swapping out all this gear and even cleaning the fan, so buying a new fan was necessary. Long story short, I bought this one and when I got it, I placed it behind and to the left of my equipment in an enclosed area where I have all this equipment plus my FL, C, and FR speakers. The fan is directly behind my FL speaker. And even while on the Low setting it delivers a nice steady surpringly cool breeze across my equipments surfaces. You can even feel the air coming thru the channel underneath my player. So it works very well as intended. So here's why. First of all, you probably noticed rhe vortex grill on the fan. The swirly grill. That's always proven to be a benefit in modern fan design. Second thing. The blades themselves. They have a very sharp contoured angle to them so they cut into the air very well, which allows such small fans to put out a lot of air. So I always wondered why all those old box fans never did this. Those things weren't worth the plastic they were made of. So yeah, if you're looking for a good little fan (it's actually not so little, I think it's about 9" tall or something like that (my older one was an inch or two snorter)) this one here will do you just fine. Now own two of these -- great small fans that move a lot of air in a space. Relatively quiet, but not silent. Great for all kinds of spaces, but kind of deep so not the easiest to put in a window if that's your goal.

I sit these fans right next to my floor vents and aim them as needed to help circulate air conditioning in my family room that lacks a ceiling fan. I use fans to move air as it helps the AC bill and I love the feel of slightly moving air in the room when it's hot out. These do not oscillate, but have low, medium and high air flow settings. They are loudest on high (of course) but really move air on high setting. I use them mostly on low and occasionally on medium and they circulate air well without effecting conversation or television sound. They are easy to use and have good performance.
