This is a great fan & well worth the price tag just for how many features it has, how ultra quiet it is & how well made it is! Even on level 1 or 2 (has 4 levels) the breeze is more than substantial & the air pushing out is COLD! And that’s just using it as a regular fan! This really did help me survive the hot summer. It is not an air conditioner but it is very effective and powerful, paired with blocking window light and not running appliances too much. I literally put ice water and ice cubes in the water resevoir and the air coming out is no cooler than without the water. Does not work well. Do Not buy! Just an overpriced fan. I live in Puebl CO where ther is little to no humidity, so that is not the issue.

    • Great fan for cooling a med-large room
2 yrs later with it running 90% of the time for the full 2 yrs...IT'S STILL WORKING in Jan 2026. Well made product. If you don't use the water tank after using it a few times, you MUST check it from time to time. Mine had a ton of crud in the tank and along the tubes. I used chlorine and a bristle brush (Inside) and lysol (on the outsides) to clean it up. The filter inside needs to be cleaned or you'll be blowing mildew around the room after a while. But, it's easy to clean. I put the entire back panel that has the filter connected in the dish washer on a quick clean setting. Worked fine. By "med - large room" I mean the difference between a reg bedroom or a living room/dining area together. I filled the tank, set it on 3 (out of 4) and the entire living room/dining area was cooled off withing 1-2 hours and I live on the sunny side of a building. It gets really hot here. I then turned it down to a 2 and that's where it 's been for a week. The ice packs didn't do much. They take up room for needed water. I put 2 - 64oz bottles of water in the fridge and pour one in the tank when it gets below half a tank. You can easily see the water level on the front. If it cools off at night, you can turn off the water pump to save water but it still evaporates over time. I like the moist air at night for my sinuses. It's not silent but it's pretty quiet. A definite positive. I really like this fan but here's 1-2 bad things. The display on top turns off (lights go off) so at night I can't see what settings it's on until you press buttons on the remote or the fan itself. If it had a motion sensor on top to light up when it detects your hand, that would be great. As stated, the ice packs didn't make much difference if you're putting cold water in there regularly. They took room away for more water. Only one issue from a handicapped/wheelchair POV: The release for the tank on the back is all the way at the bottom near the base. It's hard for me to bend that low to open the back tank but it opens easily and closes/secures easily. It's also an issue for me to see the top of the fan controls easily. For someone standing over it, it's perfect. For someone who's eyes are basically level with the top, it's a little difficult but not too bad. Just a LITTLE annoying. I still recommend it. It's the best fan I've bought in years and is pretty quiet. ... show more

This is... okay. I guess. It blows air. But theres only 4 air flow options (where's 5?).. and the smell coming out when I turn the air cooling part on is just.. absolutely no. It smells like crotchy fishy plastic and it made my whole room absolutely STINK. I will never use that option again, rendering most of this fan useless. I am VERY dissapointed, and I feel like ive wasted my money. Very dissapointed in you DREO. P.s if you have any other DREO appliances, the remote will work for both. But, that also means that youre gonna be accidentally turning on multiple appliances when you only pointed at one. So yeah, thats irritating. ... show more

I’ve had a few evaporative coolers, and I think this one is the overall best. I like the tower style, it’s quiet even on high power, and although it runs through water a little more quickly than others so far (could be a lower humidity thing), it keeps me so cool that sometimes I have to turn it off. I think it’s widely known this is a top performing brand but what unique (in my opinion) is that this fan has a compartment for its ice pack (provided) so it blows ice cold air while the ice lasts. The ice does not last long on really warm days but does blow cold air for about two hours. Additional ice packs would be helpful. ... show more
