🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

The fan is considered "pretty good" overall, delivering a cooling effect that is adequate but not exceptional. It is highly rated for its quiet operation, size, wide oscillation, and muted display that doesn't disturb during the night. However, a few design flaws were noted, chiefly in the water tank and pump system that can get dirty and difficult to clean. The product has a cooling feature that does contribute to the overall cooling but may not suffice to cool an entire room.

Pros

  • 🌬️ Wide oscillation and four fan speeds
  • 🌬️ Quiet operation
  • 🌬️ Muted display that goes dark, which is great for night use
  • 🌬️ Efficient for a single room, especially in dry climates

Cons

  • 🔥 Water tank design leads to fast dirt accumulation
  • 🔥 Pump is not at the bottom of the tank, leading to unevaporated, dirty water
  • 🔥 Short power cable
  • 🔥 Does not efficiently cool larger rooms or spaces with high humidity

Should I Buy It?

If you live in a dry climate and only need to cool single room spaces, this fan could work great. However, a purchase may not be advisable if you are looking to cool larger rooms or live in humid places. Potential buyers should also be aware of the maintenance needs due to the dirt-prone water tank and pump system.

  • good fan, but flawed
Color: White Pattern Name: Fan
the fan itself is pretty good, however it has a major flaw and now i am searching for replacement fins for it, it says to clean every 2 weeks or so, but one week of not taking it apart had caused issues the main flaw it had is that it feeds water from a tank on the bottom and pumps it up, the water the goes down on the fins and goes back into the tank if its not evaporated, this is probably good to avoid being knocked over, but the design of the tank has a huge flaw. its pump is not at the bottom of the tank, meaning thet even when the tank is empty' there is an inch or so of water, and this water had been a exposed to everything in the air multiple times before resting in the tank, and it gets dirty very fast, and i have found it looks yellow in a few days, not 2 weeks, and it has gotten harder to clean to the point i think i need to replace the blades it never says to avoid filling the water tank with a pitcher or cup, and if it did i would still take a star away for that, so don't say i was just using it wrong putting the pump a bit lower in the tank, possibly having some plastic to make it the lowest point would help with a lot of this --------------- a different more minor thing that annoys me is that the fan had "air conditioning" in its amazon details section, when its not, and its instructions state it isn't, i get how it works and to not compare it to an actual ac unit, but i find the wording deceptive although at least it isn't in the title itself last time i checked ---------------------------------- aside from that, the fan was good while it lasted, and probably is still an ok but overpriced fan without the cooling feature, i like that its screen goes dark after leaving it for a while, an issue i always have with tower fans at night giving of often blue light making it hard to sleep, i didn't need to tape over the display of this one as a fan, its worth 1-2 degrees f of air temperature at night to me, roughly the same as my older tower fan, with cooling, its maybe worth 1-3, with cooling and ice its seemingly worth 2-3 degrees, however this is with the thing pointed at me, i don't think it can cool a room, at least a room in an area with 40-50% average humidity, if you live in an area with less then that, it probably will, but i don't its power cable is a bit on the short side, but that isn't the biggest issue, i don't rate remote controls because i never keep them long enough it had been good at not being knocked over at night, a major plus from fans that then to get toppled if hit in the darkness really do hope there are replacement fins, because the ones i have might not be healthy to aim at myself for much longer ... show more

  • I love this!!!!!!
Color: White Pattern Name: Fan
First off - this is not an AC, it is an evaporative cooler. Evaps work by blowing air over a wet filter, which cools the air. Evaps work great in dry climates. If it is humid, they tend not to get as great of results. I live in a very dry climate, and have had central Evaps that work great, and this one is great too - for a single room. I use it in my west facing bedroom which gets hotter than the rest of the house. I also take it with me when we go to places that don’t have A/C. I like it so much, I bought one for my kids. Things I like about this product: - It is quite large and has a wide oscillator which fans the whole room - The fan is very quiet compared to other tower fans I have had - The controls are quiet - I had another brand that beeped very loudly with every button pushed - The display is muted and goes dark when on, so it doesn’t glow - the other brand had a very bright display - There are 4 fan speeds Things I wish were better, but have no problems living with because I love it - The timer only goes to 7 hours - The container for the water is hard to clean (true of all of these designs) - The buttons are practically invisible unless the lights are on in the room, but I have memorized the remote In summary, if you are in the proper climate and need one room cooled - this is awesome and I highly recommend it! ... show more

  • Great fan for cooling a med-large room
Color: Winter Black Pattern Name: Fan
By "med - large room" I mean the difference between a reg bedroom or a living room/dining area together. I filled the tank, set it on 3 (out of 4) and the entire living room/dining area was cooled off withing 1-2 hours and I live on the sunny side of a building. It gets really hot here. I then turned it down to a 2 and that's where it 's been for a week. The ice packs didn't do much. They take up room for needed water. I put 2 - 64oz bottles of water in the fridge and pour one in the tank when it gets below half a tank. You can easily see the water level on the front. If it cools off at night, you can turn off the water pump to save water but it still evaporates over time. I like the moist air at night for my sinuses. It's not silent but it's pretty quiet. A definite positive. I really like this fan but here's 1-2 bad things. The display on top turns off (lights go off) so at night I can't see what settings it's on until you press buttons on the remote or the fan itself. If it had a motion sensor on top to light up when it detects your hand, that would be great. As stated, the ice packs didn't make much difference if you're putting cold water in there regularly. They took room away for more water. Only one issue from a handicapped/wheelchair POV: The release for the tank on the back is all the way at the bottom near the base. It's hard for me to bend that low to open the back tank but it opens easily and closes/secures easily. It's also an issue for me to see the top of the fan controls easily. For someone standing over it, it's perfect. For someone who's eyes are basically level with the top, it's a little difficult but not too bad. Just a LITTLE annoying. I still recommend it. It's the best fan I've bought in years and is pretty quiet. ... show more

  • This thing is awesome!
Color: White Pattern Name: Fan
This fan saved us this summer. Heatwaves in Phoenix this year was no joke and my AC was even struggling. This thing in my bedroom was the perfect thing to keep me and my pets cool. It does eat through the water pretty quickly with the evap option on, about a gallon every four hours, but that could also be its super dry air here (desert life!). Either way, it's amazing. Get one. Especially if you're in a dry area. ... show more
