I really like the vibe of this lamp. I got it to be a desk lamp next to my computer, and it's working out great for that. It works well and is aesthetically pleasing. With a dim bulb it's a nice soft light, and takes up pretty little space on the desk. I'm not crazy about cord switches, but in this case it's working out fine. This lamp is really well made and an amazing quality for the price. The base is solid wood and the shade is a high quality linen-like material. It looks much more expensive than its price might indicate. It is also the perfect size, not tiny but also not huge to take up too much space on a small surface. For its size, the light output is also great. It also has an easily accessible on/off switch along the cord so you don’t have to fumble around the lampshade to turn it on. This is a very nice little lamp. It's not a large normal sized lamp, but something small for a smaller space. My kitchen is dark and this works perfect on my kitchen counter to give me the extra light I need. It fits just perfect right under the cabinet. The wood goes well and seems to be nice quality. I really like the quality and simplicity of this lamp. It is made with a solid wood base and linen lamp shade. I chose the walnut finish. The inline, on/off switch, works well. It emits more light than many lamps of a similar size. I think this lamp is a good value for the price. It’s a nice, natural lamp. I deducted one star because the listing strongly implies they don’t use stitched lumber. And one leg of this lamp is clearly stitched. But I don’t think it affects the value. I bought this for my toddler daughter’s room because the overhead light is too bright for bedtime stories. I’d previously purchased another smaller rechargeable light but it wasn’t bright enough for reading. So this lamp struck a happy medium. The wooden base is strong and does not wobble. As advertised the wood does not appear to be spliced, it really does seem to be high quality. It took me about two minutes to assemble the lamp and it took a regular light bulb that I had on hand. The lampshade is sturdy and came assembled (which I like because sometimes the lamp shades that you have to assemble upon arrival are much flimsier). There isn’t anything about this lamp that wobbles or leans or is crooked. Just a good solid construction. Size was as expected, too. The cord was an average length and the switch was just the right distance from the lamp. I really have no complaints about this product and would definitely recommend it. ... show more

I love this lamp. It looks great on or off and the material quality is much better than what I expected for the price. It's also a really good size. I've bought a few "small" lamps in the past and they tend to be either much small than expected or much larger- especially the shade portion.
