Best Overall Vacuum on the market, and I have tried them all. I have tried the Saros 10r (good robot) and the water container and waste is too small for consistent cleaning. I tried Dreame X50, too bulky although a good robot but had a hard time getting below areas even with the retractable lidar. When retracted, I noticed the lidar could no longer scan the area which made it difficult to navigate after it was retracted. I love the Dream L40, best bang for the buck at one point for $500! but although bigger than Saros 10r waste and water container, still had to refill and clean often with my cleaning needs. I also tried the 3i s10 which I loved also since it required virtually no maintenance also (cool tech) but the robot itself was bulky and had difficulty navigating over thresholds. Overall the x40 master is the creme de la creme and best bang for your buck. With it being plumbed into my home, I essnetially have limitless hands off cleaning every night and at some point weeks down the road will have to change out dust bin and add cleaning solution. This robot has all the features needed (AI dirt detection, mop pad removal, strong suction, self cleaning, auto maintenance, edge cleaning, etc.) with little to no maintenance while carrying over all the same features that made the x40 so popular to begin with.     • Powerful robot vac!
It was time to upgrade my robot vacuum. Did a bit research before spending a sum in this Dreame X40 Master model. So far it did an excellent job cleaning our hardwood floors. I like its compact design. The suction is quite powerful, picking up almost all debris on the floor. Obstacle avoidance worked quite well with good sensors. The extended side brushes do help with better corner coverage. The app is solid with multiple customizable features, though I have yet to use all of them. I used Alexa to voice control the device. Self-cleaning with auto refill and drain of water is cool. It took me a bit while to finish the plumbing work to connect the unit with a a sink nearby, but all good to go after that. If you happen to have a customized cabinet with enough space to store the base, that will be a neat fit. I feel this is a good investment. Happy wife, happy life! ... show more

    • My first Dreame product is leaps and bounds ahead of the Roomba combo it replaced.
I recently got the Dreame X40 Master, and it’s been a game-changer for my compact apartment. I switched over from using the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Braava Jet M6, and I have to say, this little machine outshines them both. The floor cleaning, especially the mopping, is on another level—closer to edges, around furniture legs, and just overall more thorough. Plus, it’s super quiet. I can have it running while I sleep, and it doesn’t wake me up—a huge bonus compared to the noisy Roomba. One feature I love is that it cleans just as well in the dark, thanks to its built-in light. Maybe other robots have this, but it feels like a luxury for me. I almost went for the Dreame X40 Ultra, but when I saw that the X40 Master connects directly to the water supply and drainage, I knew it was perfect for my space. No more dealing with dirty water tanks or bad smells, which is a huge relief. Another big plus: the dust bag is larger, so I don’t have to replace it as often. Maintenance is easy too—the sliding shelf design makes everything super accessible. And speaking of design, the brush and mop are on swinging arms that actually clean all the way to the edge. It’s the little details like this that make a big difference. The lidar mapping is also impressive. It mapped my place so quickly, and it’s night-and-day better than the camera-based system on my old robot. I like how it can tell which rooms are dirtier and goes back for a second pass—smart and efficient. The mop pad washing and drying features work great and keep everything smelling fresh. My only minor gripe is that I wish the cleaning solution came in a larger size or maybe as a powder I could mix myself. Not a big deal, though. Overall, the Dreame X40 Master has exceeded my expectations. If you have hard floors (I can’t speak for rugs), this robot is a must-have.
