I love this bed rail. I have a senior Pomeranian that sleeps in the cubby of the headboard above my husband’s head and he sometimes hangs his head over the side of the bed. He has slid off the bed and onto a pillow on the floor several times. We got this bed rail and left the legs off it and turned it on its side and attached it to the bed. So it works as expected however we were using this for when babe naps on our bed which has a way thicker mattress than a toddler bed. Make sure you measure the mattress thickness before purchasing, this was my mistake and no reflection of the product/company.

Good product, I kept it but had to put plywood under the mattress because the bars on the bedrail that fit under the mattress ran in the same direction as the wood planks of the bed. The bedrail kept falling off the planks
