I purchased these shoes to work in a commercial kitchen at the time, they are incredible. They are STYLISH and one of the most durable shoes ive owned and used. being steel toe they protect your feet very well and I am thankful for that. I work on the hot line most of the time around hot oil fryers and giant ovens. These shoes do not generally bother me, once broken in, the fit and feel is incredibly good. BUT they are very heavy, so if you are able to tolerate them, these shoes are the best in the industry. ... show more

I've never owned Dr Martin shoes. I took a bartending job knowing I was going to be in my feet and wanted something stylish and comfortable. BOY WAS I WRONG! While I bought the right size they are the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever owned!! The back of my heal was literally bleeding at the end of the day and both feet so sore I could hardly walk. I figured maybe I need to break them in... well doing another not so active job, sitting and driving mostly they weren't any better. They are extremely heavy and unbearable! Fortunately I had some other shoes to finish shift in. I can't return them because I wore them and will try to sell them used. I already feel bad for the next guy thinking he will be able to wear them. Never buy these shoes even if you aren't on your feet much. Horrible Horrible experience.
