  • Great starter drawing tablet
The media could not be loaded. This tablet is a great starter tablet. It's the perfect blend of simple, yet giving you enough programmable functions to give the feel of using high-grade tablet. The the feel of the pen is light, though potentially too light in the hand (you get used to not feeling like you'll break it) and contact on the protective film for the tablet is not awkward. The pen/erase default button doesn't work the way one would want it to for all apps (so far I use it to teach but it works perfectly on Microsoft Word). Nonetheless, they, along with four buttons and four swipe gestures to the left of the tablet, are fully programmable. Best of all, you can save various function settings for differing apps and the tablet automatically adjusts to the saved settings once the app becomes the active window! Hand-eyw coordination is not bad. I got used to it within 30 mins. The key is to recognize that the cursor moves/responds when the pen is close to the writing area. Allow close proximity and then your movement with be just like using a mouse where you won't need to look down at all. ... show more

  • Amazing value and amazing quality for semi-amateur artists
Contents: 1. VEIKK A30 pen tablet 2. Battery-free pen and sleeve 3. Instruction manual 4. Highly breathable cloth glove (as a pad between your hand and the tablet, smooths strokes) 5. Extra nibs (x8) and a little metal tool to replace worn nibs from your pen Installation: I had to uninstall my Wacom tablet driver and install the VEIKK driver, which was actually very easy to do. Wacom’s driver uninstall process took twice as long as VEIKK’s installation process, so that gives you a good idea about how fast and easy it is to install the VEIKK driver. Simply follow the instruction manual step by step, and within 10 minutes, you’ll have your VEIKK tablet ready to go. Just plug the USB into the port, and have at it. For the purpose of this review, like the A15 I’ve reviewed before, I used the tablet to draw on Paint Tool SAI. I have also opened Photoshop, and Clip Paint Pro, and all of them work with this tablet. Ease of Use: The surface of this tablet is a bit “rougher” than the A15, but not really in a bad way. I think the one small complaint I’d have is the noise the pen makes while drawing on it, as it can get kind of annoying hearing the squeak of plastic against plastic. However, being someone that listens to music while I draw, this was not a big issue at all. Sensitive hearing? Don’t worry, this sound won’t blow your ears out, I promise. When drawing, the pen and tablet surface are extremely responsive and sensitive, even more so than my Wacom Intuos Pro Medium. Having a bit of cushion, the pen nib bobs up and down depending on the amount of strength you put into your strokes. It feels like you’re using a high-quality pen to write something with, if that makes sense. I’d say that this is the best pen tablet I’ve used in a very long time, and I’m impressed at the quality for such a low price point. In addition, the buttons on the pen are pretty useful when you’re using it to eyedrop colors, and don’t stick like my other pen does. It’s crisp and quick, and I like that very much. One downside, however, is that the pen does not have an “eraser” side, so both drawing and erasing are done with the nib. Onto the tablet. To be honest, this is probably my favorite thing about it: the touch area is very sensitive but the tablet itself is compact yet has a large drawing area. For comparison, my Wacom Intuos Pro Medium also has a round touchpad, but because my setup is fairly rudimentary (as space is an issue on my table), it becomes hard to reach over to my laptop and type when my tablet is in front of me. This is not a con on behalf of Wacom, but what I am saying is, the compact size of the A30 is wonderful for artists who are limited on deskspace. As well, the layout of the touchpad is easy to understand, and is very convenient for quick shortcuts while you are drawing. Another important aspect of this tablet is just how light it is. Compared to my Wacom tablet, this one weighs as light as a small box of cookies. The cord is not incredibly long, but also not ridiculously short, so you can easily adjust your setup in more ways than one. However, do note that unlike the Wacom Intuos Pro, the A30 is not a wireless model. Of the two models I’ve reviewed for VEIKK, I have a very strong preference for the A30. In terms of pricing, they are similar, but because I’m not a button person (A15), I highly prefer the touchpad. Plus, the design of the tablet is very sleek, and saves a lot of space. After around 10 hours of use, I’d say this is a tablet I’m going to heavily rely on in the future once my Wacom retires. VERDICT: Despite a few small shortcomings, VEIKK’s A30 pen tablet is a wonderful model that delivers beyond its modest price point, perfect for amateur and semi-amateur artists looking to try digital art for the first time. ... show more

  • Good and worth the money
BEFORE YOU BUY: This is a DRAWING TABLET, not a normal one. It’s also a drawing tablet without a screen/monitor. You must use this with a PC or Laptop, it’s not for single use. THE TABLET AND WHAT IT COMES WITH: 9mm thick, 10 x 6 inch Drawing Area Gesture Touchpad (With 4 customizable Touch Keys) 1 Type C USB cord/port 1 Stylus (Inside a Pen Pocket/pouch) 1 Quick/Start Up Guide 1 Downloader Card 8 EXTRA Pen Nibs 1 Pen Nib Remover 1 Drawing Glove VEIKK by far is an excellent competitor to big name brand tablets like Wacom. Performing just as well but wayyy more affordable and readily available to the average artist just trying to start out. If you’re just starting out and need a cheap and good tablet, I’d heavily recommend this one. Now onto my thoughts.I believe this model is the perfect size for me, I'm able to comfortably draw without feeling like I need a bigger space, and it’s easily portable. Not heavy or bulky at all, which makes it easier to carry around in my bag to my needed workspace. The feel of the tablet's surface is also a plus for me and works well with the pen. It feels very natural, as if I was using a normal pen and paper, and doesn’t drag when coming in contact with each other. The Type C cord is also a plus. Simple and to the point. Even someone inexperienced with these kinds of tablets would know how to work it and where to plug in each respective side. Now onto the pen. As stated before, the pen feels very natural, and is easy to carry. I'm very surprised the pen itself comes inside a foam carrying case. I’ve used other name brand tablets who only had their pens come in a paper pouch, if any pouch was given for it,so it’s surprising how a cheaper lesser known brand like VEIKK can do something the more well known brands can't. Again, the case is a foam one, making it very light while also protective if I need to put it away for later use. Another plus is the inclusion on the drawing glove. While I myself don’t use it much, I know plenty of other artists use them to avoid constant friction against their hand and the tablet. It’s light, and fits my hand well. (While the glove is a “one size fits all” it can be worn by anyone without trouble).Very glad that this was included as I know other brands usually don’t include them and need to be purchased separately. Similarly, the added pen nibs and nib remover were also greatly appreciated. As someone who is constantly drawing (either for myself, college, or freelance work) I go through nibs a lot. The fact that there's 8 included lets me feel secure knowing I’ll have extras readily available for later use. And lastly, I am greatly appreciative of how easy and simple to use VEIKKs products are. The tablet comes with both a start up guide and downloader disk that explain how to get the tablet drivers running and other general info about the tablet. Redirecting you to the website where you can easily download the drivers and start using it. As i’ve said before, it makes the process simple and straight to the point. No irrelevant or confusing info is given. Just what you need to know. Along with this, I am very thankful all of the tablet's accessories are noticeable and easy to access. It’s all laid out in front of you, or told where to find it. Example being the sticker inside telling you the pen nibs, remover, and start up guide are inside the box. I’ve used other name brand tablets who hide extra pen nibs inside the tablet itself without anything to tell you it’s inside. Making it very confusing and frustrating if you don’t know where to look. Luckily VEIKK lays out all its functions and accessories for you. All in all, this tablet is very easy and simple to use. Comes with some great accessories and is very affordable for the average artist or user. Would greatly recommend buying it. ... show more
