I got this Drsnake Drain Clog Remover Tool, 30 Inch Sink Snake Hair Clog Remover with Rotating Handle basically for my shower stall drain in my RV. Because my shower stall only has a few inches of space for the drain plumbing under the stall the drain pipe must be small so the drain gets clogged easily. I have tried drain cleaners, hot water, etc. with mixed results. I had to remove the drain screen to access the drain and because the snake is flat it slid right into the drain opening easily. The nylon snake has barbs built into its sides so I was able to move the snake back and forth prior to pulling it out of the drain and when I pulled it out I was surprised with a bunch of hair. Because the drain opening is narrow I was not able to use the attachment to rotate the snake but because of the barbs I didn't need to do that. I would imagine if you have a clog in a drain where the snake can rotate nothing will keep this snake from doing its job.

I have a couple of drains in my house that seem to get stopped up way too often. I've used baking soda and vinegar more than once. Sometimes it helps, other times it doesn't. So, I ordered these drain snakes. I like these because the ends are small. As a result, I don't have to take the drain covers off. That saves a lot of time and effort. These snakes feel very strong and are made well. I like how easy they are to use. So far, I've only had time to work on one of the drains. I didn't pull anything out, but think I busted the clog. The drain is working better now. When I have more time, I'll run the snake down it again, for good measure. I'm glad I ordered these - I think they're just what I've needed to deal with these stubborn drains. I recommend.

I ordered this flexible plastic drain snake because it was listed as being 30," 6" longer than the standard flexible plastic drain snake. That seemed like an advantage. The listing noted that unlike the rest, it had a handle that, when attached and turned allowed the user to twist the snake. The handle does that, though one's own hand could do that about as well. The actual flexible plastic drain snake is, however just 25" long, just an inch longer than the standard flexible drain snake snake out. It's the handle that adds the 5", but as the user turns the handle, most of it doesn't enter the drain, so one doesn't have much use of the promised 30". So it comes down to being the EX model of the flexible plastic drain snake that performs about as well as the base model.

So this product is essentially a mash-up of the Drain Weasel (look and functionality) and your standard ripcord-looking drain snake (make-up and barbs). I've used both of the other products in the past and each has it's pros and cons. This seems to try to capitalize on the pros of each. It maneuvers like the Drain Weasel, so it spins all around the pipes as you clean them, collecting more of whatever is clogging your drain. It has barbs more in line with a standard drain snake, making it easier to clean and ultimately re-use (have you even attempted to clean a Drain Weasel attachment?!?!). After using this, it seems to work well.

It's a drain snake that's 30 inches long. Not much more to say. With the exception of the rotating handle makes for quicker work of the hair ball. They grey part of the handle slides over the connection point to keep the two parts together which is a nice feature to make sure you are able to get it back out.

I've used these types of drain clearing devices before. This one works well and quickly on a bathroom sink. It is good that it comes with 7 lines. I don't want to try to clean and re-use them. Pretty disgusting what one pulls out.

This gadget will remove hair from your bathroom drain providing you yield a few precautions you might avoid causing more harm than good. Remove the sink stopper. If your stopper comes out from the top without restriction then great but if not then you will need to remove the nut under the sink so the stopper can be ejected. Don't push the tool past the P-Trap. The trap is the first bend in your drain. The clog will be in this section of the drain so there is no need to go any deeper with the tool or you risk getting the thing stuck in the plumbing. If you still cannot clear the clog just remove the P-Trap. It's usually hand tight and takes just a few minutes to disassemble. Hose it out and re-install. Everything will be right-as-rain. Work Smart, Be Safe

This is simple to use and having the handle attached to the snake makes it a lot easier to remove with less chance of it getting stuck. I tried it in the bathroom sinks and utility room sink and it worked just fine each time.
