I received this item free from Amazon in return for my unbiased review. My intention is to provide a fair assessment to help buyers make informed purchasing decisions. First of all, I’d like the 35 foot length seems like that’s longer than other units I’ve had in the past, but I really get out there where the clogs are. The second thing I really like is the construction, which is surprisingly good and heavy duty. But the thing I think I like the most is the post on the back that allows you to hook it to a power drill really saves a lot of effort, when a lot of cable . The plastic housing makes it easy to clean and the bag/case is great for storage. The thumb screw cable lock is a bit annoying if I had to use this a lot, I would swap that out with some kind of bolt and knob, but it is more than fine for occasional use. The business and of the cable has a nice aggressive profile, but yet seems to be able to snake well around corners. All told a good tool for a reasonable price.

I am puzzled by how this package arrived. There is no branding and the unit arrives in the storage case instead of a box. That being said, I liked the fact that this unit allows you to snake a line up to 35 feet. I also liked the fact that I can use a manual crank as well as a drill attachment. I do wish the drill attachment was hex style. The unit worked well in allowing me to clear a blockage in my drain line (that ties into my AC unit). I was also able to use it without issue to clear a blockage in the bathroom. The unit is solidly constructed and has some weight to it. The drum is made of steel as well as the cable. I was unable to verify if it was rust and corrosion resistant. To be on the safe side, I would suggest letting it dry before recoiling the cable back into the drum. The instructions could be better. The instructions are pretty basic. There was no information on the manufacturer or who to contact about issues related to warranty or usage questions. I do like the fact that work gloves are included. I have large hands so it was a pleasant surprise to see that these work gloves actually fit. I also appreciated that this came with a storage bag. It would be nice if there was some branding on the bag and the plumbing snake itself. Overall, this unit worked well for multiple use cases.

I've used a couple of these over the years but never owned one, so I thought I should get one just in case a use-case comes up. The drum on this feels heavy and well put-together, the plastic handle feels thick and allows the drum to rotate easily, and the long spring "cable" also seems heavy-duty. It also comes with a decent pair of gloves and, happily, a form-fitting bag made of thick material with a sturdy zipper and a handle. This isn't new tech, so if you're looking for one of these, you're just looking for a well-made one. I haven't evaluated all the ones available on the market, but in my limited experience, this one fits the bill very nicely.

Highly recommend. I am happy to report I did have need of this to break up a plastic fork that has plagued the shop toilet for about two weeks now - it worked great. When the plunger won't turn the trick - this is your next step to saving 200 - 400 bucks. This is a hand fed snake that can be easily turned by hand by anybody, or an electric drill can be attached. I'll just keep it simple and turn by hand. This is a well made compact 35' snake that comes in a serviceable canvass case. It can be stored conveniently under bathroom sinks or storage closets (see photos). What I don't like: the locking mechanism is just a set-screw, not a handle or flip-lock like many other augers. So, it's a bit of a pain and a bit time-consuming to push the cable out a few inches at a time. What I like: It's really built better than I expected. The crank handle seems to be the weak point but everything else is solid. Also, the 35-foot cable is 10 feet more than the typical auger and that can make all the difference. The less expensive augers from the big-box stores are probably easier to use and even though they have only typically have a 25-foot cable, that's enough for most people who live in apartments. But if you live in an older house like mine that has a 40-foot mainline, the extra length of this 35-foot auger is worth the trouble of adjusting the set-screw over and over.

This is a nice complete set.The length up to 35ft is great. We are in a new build where everything is settling and had a few issues warranty fixed but that won't be the case soon. This is nice and will save the cost of having to call someone. Tested it some and worked well by hand. The case is nice and we keep it tucked away under the guest rooms sink until we need it.

I was using a 5 ft hand rooter to clear some drian hair clog. But I found out the clog was much further down the pipe. Thus 35ft snake was easy to use whether by hand or with a power drill, as the second hair clog was about 10 feet stuck at a joint. I just slowly inched it down the shower drian. Saved me time and money from calling a plumber.
