I was really hoping this would be the tool I need to battle the thousands of Rose of Sharon seedlings that pop up in my small yard every year. A string trimmer isn't quite enough and a push mower is just overkill for my tiny yard. Assembly was not too difficult and all tools are included. I was unable to get the guard to attach correctly I think one of the pre-drilled holes to receive it is missing and I can fix that myself in time. For my use I did not feel like I needed it. Also I did not put the wheels on so cannot speak about them. The trimmer is very light weight. Once you start it you do have to hold the trigger continuously but only the power button. You can release the safety button once it is running and it will remain running. Sometimes it does bog down in thicker things but overall it had plenty of power. I fist tried the saw blade because I figured that would be the thing I needed for the from straw sized up to 1 inch thick shrub seedlings. I had some issues with the nut coming loose frequently and then realized I had not aligned the slots in the blade onto the raised part of the trimmer head, That ended that problem. The saw blade worked okay bit slowly to cut these seedlings. So I swapped it out for the machete blade instead. Oh boy did that do a nice job. Even the thicker ones were sliced off neatly and quickly. It was pretty quiet as well. The saw blade did sound exactly like a chainsaw when it was working but not quite so loud. The battery life was good. I was able to a lot on one battery with the machete type blade. The saw blade take more energy so does not last as long. I think I ran it for about 20-30 minutes on the machete blade and 15-20 on the saw blade. I have not used the plastic blades at this time. I love that it came with several of each kind of blade so finding replacements is not an issue of concern for some time. ... show more

Do not waste your money! I paid over $95 for this piece of garbage on 7/5/2023. I kept thinking it was because the batteries didn't charge long enough so I let them charge all week while I worked but they would last for sometimes up to five or ten minutes and while it worked during those few minutes it was great but then it quit and now with a nice freshly charged battery it only lasts a minute. Frustrating, expensive junk! I really needed this to work ... show more

Would have given this Weed Wacker a five star review except for the fact that the black shield broke almost immediately so I couldn't use the wheels. Since the wheels were a large part of the reason I broke this weeder, that was a rather large disappointment, but the blades work so much better than string weeders that I figured, what the heck. Unfortunately the shield continues to have pieces break off so it is now down to, well, sort of a strip of plastic. Like I said, other than that, I love it and will continue to use it, even tho I shouldn't because it is probably a lot more hazardous without the full shield. ... show more

I found the installation instructions vague at best. No guidance at all on the power supply, i.e., how long to charge. The wheels are wobbly, like cartoon device. I am older, with physical mitigation, so I thought this device would be ideal. But I feel like important information was missing from the instructions. I haven't tried to use it yet because the sketchy instructions and wobbly wheels make me doubt it's structural integrity. ... show more

We recently moved into a new home with a much bigger lawn to care for. My old trimmer wasn’t up to the task so I bought a new EGO trimmer. I love their lawnmower but the trimmer just wasn’t up to the task. Several pieces broke on it in the first thirty days. Then I bought another highly rated trimmer here on Amazon, it lasted about a month. It wasn’t up to the demands I placed on it either. Then I bought a (. ) here on Amazon and it has been great. It comes with so many different attachments and even includes wheels if that’s how you roll. I like the saw blade attachment, it takes down the tall weeds, tough grasses, and is a whiz at giving you a nice clean edge. This unit comes with two batteries and a charger and the batteries last far longer than the other two units I bought. It is also very light, easy to change attachments, and fairly quiet. Save your money and only buy the edger you need once! Buy this one. Tip - When changing the blades be sure to tighten them and it’s a good idea to check that it’s tight before each use. You don’t want a blade coming off while your using it. ... show more

So, for the money this is a neat little trimmer. Your not going to cut down the Amazon forest with it, It isn't commercial grade, however it came with two batteries, charger, a couple saw blades and a bunch of other blades as well. One note. The 1st time I used it the the blade came flying off. Perhaps I didn't tighten it enough. I contacted the seller who immediately responded and got me the shaft nut I needed that was lost. I recommend using a lock washer so the nut won't come loose. I'm using it to clear out a large area packed with thorns and weeds. If you don't push it too hard and just let the machine do its work and give it a break one in a while it works pretty well... ... show more
