Purchased as a gift for my girlfriend. She likes it better compared to similar priced guns, no issues after 1 year. If you want to buy extra batteries this gun uses a 3.7V 14430 4/5 AA. Recommend getting the higher capacity 900mAH like the ones provided, and an additional 2 battery charger.

Coming from one of DragonHawks corded “pens” (more like holding a pill bottle if you ask me), I was worried this might be a downgrade but hopefully it’s smaller size would make it easier. PSA: it was an UPGRADE. Easy to grip (I’m female, small hands) and I’ve been tattooing for 7 years now - it’s stroke isn’t adjustable, so if you aren’t familiar with your depths, it may be a learning curve. Adjusting voltage was confusing at first, the needle has to be running, then you can hold the button and tilt. It does cause a lot of vibration on the top end of the stroke once you get up past a 7RL needle, but for a cheaper pen, this thing is mint.

I bought dynamic ink and poseidon needles that were a deal and i’m loving it. these are the first tattoos i have done and i find it very user friendly if you already like to draw and paint

I love this tattoo pen, but it takes a special size battery . Two batteries are included, but it won't be easy to replace one if lost, which I did lose one. :( Great pen though!

So my first one broke within a week, but I contacted the seller and they gave me no issues at all sending a new one. That’s the only reason I took a star off. It’s been a year now, and that second one is still going strong. It’s my daily user and I love it. Quality is great.
