With an internal battery you already know this thing is going to be bigger than usual. I compared it to a couple of other standard rotary pens for comparison. It's a little heavy which may hinder or help some artist depending on your style. Ive yet to run the battery down on this machine so I couldn't tell you what the life is like but judging by the size of it, id imagine it runs a little longer than a removable battery pack if not the same. Overall, it'd be helpful in a pinch and its pretty cool to have in your arsenal but probably not your daily driver. ... show more

This Dragonhawk Wireless Tattoo Kit comes with everything you need to start learning tattooing. Everything you need is included except for experience but for that they even include a nice thick piece of fake skin for you to practice on first. The kit comes with everything as advertised and includes ink, needles, the little ink cups w/lids etc etc and even a pair of black gloves and black gauze tape to wrap up your finished work of art. The motor's battery seems to be decent and long lasting. And you can easily charge it with the USB charging cable included with the kit. Being a beginner I can't tell you if the needles are 100% great quality or not but definitely appear to be quite sufficient for the task. And again, I very much like that this kit comes a generous square of fake skin to practice on. All that plus a nice fair price... This Dragonhawk Wireless Tattoo Kit is definitely a great kit especially for any aspiring tattoo artist. 👍 ... show more

This tattoo kit is a very good kit for a beginner. Comparing it to other kits in the same price range for beginners, I think this is one of my favorites. The size of the pen is very nice and easy to grip. It runs pretty smoothly and I find it easy to work with using practice skins. You get a variety of needle sizes and ink cups to start you out and a bit of black ink. It also has some grip tape which is great. While this may not matter to some people, I liked how this was boxed and presented. It's a very clean little kit and it isn't just a bunch of different things shoved into a brown box. If you were considering giving this as a gift to somebody who is a beginner, this may look nicer than some of the other options available, and the pen itself is pretty solid for things in this price range. This is a very nice machine and practice set up for a beginner, because it has a little bit of everything. You get a rotary pen type machine, a small bottle of ink, some ink cups, a variety of needle tips, some gloves, some handle tape, and some practice skin. The needles are not my favorite that I have used, but they are more than adequate for practice time.
