I have to say, I was not expecting this machine to be as good as it is considering the price. I have more expensive rotary pens and this absolutely compares. Time will tell if it holds up, but frankly, if it lasted a year I'd be satisfied and would be happy to buy another. I have a quick hand and even at a lower voltage than I usually use, this thing throws excellent lines. I was surprised how well it packed color, but I haven't used any really big magnums or anything yet (no trouble with a 7round mag). All in all, for the price you can't go wrong. ... show more

I wanted to wait until I actually tested it, but I've been too busy... So I'll base this review off physical quality/design & packaging. Initial thoughts: Beautiful! Very solid device that arrived nearly packaged in a branded box (as pictured). Even the box it's stored in is of great quality! It came with instructions and some other things that I can't even remember off the top of my head... Basically, everything you need to hook up to your power supply (it is just the "gun", not a full kit... Though I believe you can order a full kit via the same product page). Someone clearly put a lot of dedication & time into the design of the branding of this product. Kudos to you! Definitely catches the eye. I was surprised by how heavy this little thing is, which is wonderful! I've ordered some of those "kits" before, and you can tell they're cheap material. The equipment is hanging on by a tiny piece of metal, usually. The cables scare me. This rotary pen, however, screams quality before you even touch it! The metal itself is cold, thick, smooth. The touch gives me goosebumps of excitement! I don't think anyone would be able to tell I only paid half a penny for it! My old mentor kept telling me I'd have to spend at least $1k to get a decent cartridge rotary motor, but after getting this gem... I think he may have been horribly mistaken, & likely wasted a good bit of money (kidding, don't kill me! I know how great Cheyenne is... But no way a sickly girl who had to drop out of "tattoo academy" due to health issues can afford any of that! Puh!) I haven't tested the Mast rotary motor yet, unfortunately... Even though it's been several months since purchase. But I have little to no doubt in my mind it will push ink as beautifully as it looks laying on my desk. ... show more

I like the easiness of using the machine... but after 20 hours of use... it wasn't hitting the skin the same way it was when it was new. The package says not to change spring inside tattoo machine until it stops... but had to change because of rattling noise. Good machine for the price though.

after months of toying with the idea of buying a tattoo pen, checking out multiple brands, adding it to my cart then removing it, I finally decided to do it. nearly every review for every pen was excellent, so I figured that many people can't be wrong. I decided on this brand and bought it, it arrived very quickly. it took a while for my cartridges to arrive, but when they did I drew out a quick tat and went to work. it took me about a half hour to do and came out better than anything I have done. there is virtually no tuning the machine, just adjusting needle length and occasionally the voltage depending on if your outlining or shading. it is unbelievably quiet and very light; you will need to buy grip tape tho because the pen slips thru your hands. I have done multiple tattoos since then and all have turned out great and we're very simple to complete. it is seriously just like drawing on paper with a pen. this will become my default machine, I may never go back to coils again. I will definitely buy another pen (probably a different brand), and the best part is trading in the expenses of a coil machine (including maintenance) for cartridoes and grip tape. I am very impressed with this machine and cannot say enough good things about it. so if you're like me and have been going back and forth about the prospect of purchasing this machine, just do it. I promise you won't regret it. ... show more

Machine came in good packaging, very well protected , neat and clean . This machine is very quiet , I have not used it yet to tattoo but will tonight and I will update on how it works. Only a. Couple of weird things I’ve noticed 1) the machine is overly greased way too much grease inside the machine . 2) there was some sticky stuff on the machine which makes me wonder if it’s been handled before 3)the pamphlet that comes with it does not describe which gear is what! And the spelling on the pamphlet is horrible misspelled words and etc . Machine came with a second gear/cam for a different throw , a couple new replacement springs and o rings . But without any manual telling you which gear is what I do not know how to tell what gear is what for which size throw for the needle. Overall, the machine seems very well built and will definitely do the job it’ just doesn’t come with very good instructions as to what is what . Not really a big deal . Can’t wait to use it ... show more
