Fun game for nostalgia purposes but admit i didnt care to much for the cutting of the game story/length Basically non spoiler.. The game was very long ( the original release ) and this one is the shorter version on switch 2 that was made to trim the game down for i assume more modern audiences who wouldnt like a longer game due to i suppose attention span. The game itself is fun and the updated graphics and UI is very welcome. If you never played the original you should be fine and is a decent starter game to the genre as the gameplay is super straightforward in terms of what you do and how the story goes. ... show more

Absolutely wonderful remake! They did take out a few things like boss fights and puzzles from the original that I actually enjoyed, but I understand why they wanted to shorten it to modernize the gameplay experience. Overall, it’s absolutely amazing for a remaster!

Decent game, much more streamlined than the one for ps1. One issue is they really dumbed down everything to much with this one. Game is a cakewalk in my opinion. Just made it to easy to enjoy in a sense.

Great game for kids just learning RPGs and for adults with a busy schedule that makes it hard to play frequently enough to remember the story. When loading it asks you if need a reminder, and on "story" mode you heal completely after every fight. And you don't need to know anything about the previous games. I am sure there are some easter eggs, but I have only played this one and the first Dragon Quest. ... show more
