Spectacular remake

Its a perfect remake of an amazing game the graphics on the switch 2 are great ive had no issues with performance definitely worth buying if you like turn based rpg the story is fun the characters and monsters are wacky its worth every penny

Nice upgrade to a older game

Fun game for nostalgia purposes but admit i didnt care to much for the cutting of the game story/length Basically non spoiler.. The game was very long ( the original release ) and this one is the shorter version on switch 2 that was made to trim the game down for i assume more modern audiences who wouldnt like a longer game due to i suppose attention span. The game itself is fun and the updated graphics and UI is very welcome. If you never played the original you should be fine and is a decent starter game to the genre as the gameplay is super straightforward in terms of what you do and how the story goes.

This has been a WONDERFUL game, this has been my introduction to the Dragon Quest universe and I LOVE it. This runs beautifully on my Switch lite, OLED, and switch 2. Although it looks the best on OLED, my biggest complaint is honestly that SQUARE ENIX doesn’t offer an easy upgrade path to for the Switch 2 for like $5 or $10. Would I say that’s a reason to pass this up? Absolutely not I would definitely still recommend it.

Decent game, much more streamlined than the one for ps1. One issue is they really dumbed down everything to much with this one. Game is a cakewalk in my opinion. Just made it to easy to enjoy in a sense.

Absolutely wonderful remake! They did take out a few things like boss fights and puzzles from the original that I actually enjoyed, but I understand why they wanted to shorten it to modernize the gameplay experience. Overall, it’s absolutely amazing for a remaster!
