Breath of the Wild is easily one of the best Legend of Zelda games in the last decade, alongside Tears of the Kingdom. But I implore everyone to NOT buy this. This is unbelievably greedy and shady of Nintendo to repackaged an 8 year old game with such minor improvements and resell it at $70+ when it was $60 in 2017. The upgrade pack on the eshop at $10 is also a scam if you ask me. The improvements to this game should be free when you have to buy a $450 console just to experience the better visuals and performance. When I buy a new GPU on my PC I get improved visuals and performance in a game that didn't run as well on old hardware. I didn't have to pay the publisher or developer an extra $10 to unlock that. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, as horrible as those games are on the original Switch, got the same improvements for free. Speak with your wallets and don't support these scummy practices. ... show more

This is a fantastic game that I enjoyed immensely! I went in cautiously optimistic, but over 60 hours later, this game has been a joy and quite the experience. Easily one of the best games of the past decade. Worth every penny and have zero regrets paying $70 for it. For those complaining about the price, if it’s too expensive for you, it’s real simple: don’t buy it! (instead of leaving a poor review for a game that contains nothing about the actual game) You probably aren’t old enough to know or realize that NES and Super Nintendo games retailed for $60 and only cost about $300k-$500k to make. Compare that to the hundreds of millions, sometimes even billions, it costs to make games today. Factor this in with year over year inflation that will naturally increase prices for nearly ALL goods, making $70 for a great game completely understandable and justified. Frankly, games costs have stayed relatively low compared to other goods and if the industry had followed normal market trends with inflation, games would be priced between $90-170 so there is truly nothing to complain about. Furthermore, if you already own the original version, it’s only $10 for the Switch 2 upgrade which is worth it for the improved performance by itself. I’m sorry to say, but if you can’t stomach paying $70 for a video game, probably time to find a new hobby instead of complaining about the price on what is supposed to be an actual review for the game. ... show more
