My 2 large dogs were digging holes under the fence and menacing the neighborhood every day. They haven't escaped since I installed this system and put the collars on them. So, it does work as it should. There are several places where this could be improved though. The collar module is large. Even on my large dogs, they look big. People see the brick and give me dirty looks because they know exactly what it is. There aren't enough levels of shock intensity. Your shock options are 1) sound only - no shock, 2) light shock, 3) hell. Fortunately, hell mode hasn't been necessary. When shock is activated, it will continue to shock for a while even after the dog has backed away from the perimeter wire. I don't know how long the shock time is, but I've removed the collar off the dog a couple of times because I felt bad she kept being punished after running away from the perimeter. Battery life is short. It would be nice if it could go at least a week, but I get 5 days max. Battery life is inconsistent. One collar goes 4 or 5 days before needing charge. The other only lasts 2 or 3 days. It's not that one dog tests the system more than the other. I've tried swapping collars already. My dogs haven't jumped into the pond yet, but I don't think they have great water protection because the rubber plug that cover the charge port keeps popping open. Note: There is a system I've used that's better in every way except price and cost to operate, the PetSafe Deluxe. My main problem with that system is the collar isn't rechargeable and the batteries are proprietary. So, you have to buy their special batteries. The batteries did last a month or so, but I felt like I was paying a subscription fee to operate it. ... show more

Great price for the diy person that wants to save lots of $$$$ by doing it yourself. Everything you need in one box, easy to install. Only down side I’ve found is their customer service, one of the clips on the surge protector broke, reach out to them through Amazon and never got a response. I would even be happy to buy one, but the company never responded, and no other way to contact them. ... show more

Chances are you are going to have to order additional wire and stakeout flag’s separately! The plastic do-dads meant as stakes are not durable and do not cover more than a 20ft area. Ridiculous to even include in the box. The directions are not as clear as they could be, but referring to YouTube videos helped. I am pleased with the product, however they should double the amount of wire and upgrade the stakes. Worth HALF the price! ... show more

I bought this because I could no longer order a collar for my old system. My dog passed away and I adopted anew 8 month old Siberian Husky. Huskies are notorious runners and she kept getting out. She has 3/4 of an acre and still won’t stay in the yard. 4 and a Half foot fence all around. I hooked this up to the existing wire and walked the perimeter with the collar. All a go or so I thought. Level one and two might as well of been off and level three (shock) did not deter her at all. She still dug underneath and got out. Fixed that hole and she climb over the fence in another. The shocking didn’t phase her. I believe this would be good for small and medium sized dogs. But determined large dogs, if they want out they are going to do it. ... show more

When you plug it in, it works. Three weeks later, my dogs have learned their boundaries and my finger has healed. My dog tried to eat me after I failed to realize how high I had the boundary set. I am here to tell you, this product works! =)

It worked great for about 3 months then the box keeps beeping saying broke wire so I pulled up the wire and no breaks so I used a little piece of wire to see if I just had missed one and no when I turn on the box says break in wire and I’m not paying another 100$ to get a new box if you have the money buy something better ... show more

Came in mail quick bought extra cord for my yard directions could be more clear on set up but product works perfect dogs don’t want no part of the system seems to keep them from ever coming close now battery on collar only last about 2 weeks not sure if that’s good or not but that’s what ours done at least ... show more
