One of the longest lasting rounds you can buy
I string all my basses with Hi-Beams and absolutely love them. First, they're super flexible. I hate stiff strings for slap so these fill the bill. Second, they last much longer than any other round I've tried. Third, even though they're stainless, they are not overly bright. Weird right. Great strings, super bright and long lasting
These Stainless steel strings get you that crisp, tight Marcus Miller tone. Low tension feels due to the round core is fantastic. Last a very long time and keep the brilliance throughout the lifespan.

Of all the brands I've tried over the years on my Warwick, I really find that DRs sound great out of box and hold provide a good tone for the longest period of time. I'm not sure why that is, but my wallet and I like that a lot. For the record, I also play Dunlop nickel round wound bass strings on my other Warwick and Ernie Ball nickel round wound bass strings on my Music Man bass. I like the sounds of those particular strings for those instruments a lot, but they do not hold their tone as long as the DRs even when factoring in the stainless steel difference. The above is just my experience and my taste on my instruments with my set-up and my playing style - your mileage may vary! ... show more

the best out there
Longest lasting string out there, and the light-top heavy bottom is great for a low-action set-up without having little tiny D and G strings.
