I don't write reviews, but I can't help writing one for this scanner. I am a bookkeeper that travels to several clients. I love this scanner! I can easily scan any size receipt. I can scan front side only or double sided. I can scan longer receipts if I hold the control key. However super long receipts (20" or more) don't scan. but I can photocopy into smaller sections and scan. It saves to several different files (I mostly use PDF to attach into Qbooks online). It is so easy to use and reliable. It rarely jams on me, and if it does it is usually because the receipt is so crinkled that it is hard to scan. Also, I can scan a receipt upside down and turn it in the doxie system after. That takes care of 99% of my jam issues. I bought the travel case for it on Amazon too. Love that as well. It is compact and fits in my bag. My only negative comment is that I wish the cords for it were a bit longer. I usually pull up a chair for the scanner to be close enough to an outlet and my laptop. It works but sometimes it is awkward. Don't hesitate to purchase this if you are looking for a reliable scanner.

I’m so thankful we found this scanner. It has made my scanning so much faster. It works exactly as advertised. It’s a great price point. The size makes it so easy to add to my desk. The computer app is so friendly. I’m not tech savvy at all but love this scanner, so user friendly. It’s very compatible to use with my computer. The setup is fast. The image quality is perfect. I’m so thankful we found this for such a great price.

I wish I bought this sooner! It comes with thoughtful parts and accessories such as different usb cables, a spare paper pad (I never knew scanners have this), and a cleaning cloth. The software is easy to use and I like that I can combine and separate documents with ease. Cropping is different but easy to figure out. I no longer let paperwork pile up and because it’s now so much easier to scan them.

I've been trying to go paperless at home, but there never seems to be an end to contracts, bills, invoices, etc. that still come in paper form (and I need to keep a copy of) despite all my efforts to choose electronic delivery. I had a portable scanner before but it only fed one sheet at a time and sometimes would go in crooked so I had to redo the same page over and over again. Taking pictures with my phone was just as tedious for multipage documents and trying to stitch them together. The Doxie Pro arrived with a stack of papers I needed to scan (and have been dreading). The unit was incredibly easy to set up. Not many steps and the one page of instructions were super simple. I installed the software on an M1 Mac Mini and it recognized the device without a hitch. (Nice touch that the scanner arrived with cables for both a USB A and USB C connection to the computer.) The scanner is pretty quick (especially compared to a portable scanner) and scans both sides automatically. It also took a small stack of papers (5-10 pages at a time -- I didn't have any longer documents) easily, even when those documents had a pretty significant fold in them from the mail. The scans were clear and didn't need to be adjusted or cropped. This is my second Doxie so I knew I liked the software and it continued to perform well. Many devices just don't have great Mac support and though there's nothing fancy about the Doxie software, it did reliably work and was straightforward to understand. Set up took a total of 3 minutes and going through a stack of papers, naming them, and organizing them in my online storage took another 15 minutes. I was actually looking for more papers to scan when I was done because I couldn't believe it went by so quickly. And when I was done, really easy to unplug everything and reclaim the space next to my computer. I'm almost waiting for another stack of papers to pile up to scan again. :/

This Doxie scanner is replacing a similar Fujitsu Snap Scan. I find the Doxie very high quality construction, fast, intuitive setup and easy to use. I highly recommend this scanner!

Setting up the scanner is very straightforward. Some people might prefer to scan wirelessly, but I find from past experience that using a physical usb cable is best for reliability purposes. With the Doxie Pro, I don’t have to worry about the scanner disconnecting from the internet or my personal computer losing a connection to the scanner. I just have to plug in the usb cable, start the software and I’m good to go. I like how this scanner can scan multiple pages at once, scan front & back, and also have an option to scan thicker documents at the bottom. It’s pretty versatile. One small note is with the auto scan option, sometimes it will think there is a “2nd page” on the back of the page (when there isn’t) and end up scanning a blank page. Not a big deal since you can delete that blank page. The software itself is intuitive and I like being able to “staple” & “unstaple” multiple pages.
