I’d never tried using an induction cooktop before now, and this Doumigo induction cooktop has been awesome! I was pleasantly surprised to find out that my enameled cast iron cookware is induction compatible, so I didn’t have to invest in any new cookware to get going with this. The cooktop is lightweight, smooth, and pretty thin, aside from the housing underneath it, you still hardly notice it sitting on top of the counter…a very sleek and clean look, in addition to being very portable for use on an RV/camping/etc.; I got the 12-inch vertical with 2 burners in white. It’s 120v and 1800 watts (not too bad, since the power is distributed between both burners if using both at the same time – cooking with both will indeed take longer, but if you’re prepared for that, no worries), with 9 power settings to cook anywhere from low to high and a 10-hour timer. Using it is very self-intuitive, as it’s no different than a regular cooktop in terms of operation...it just has a digital display on top to read your settings. The biggest selling points for induction (in my view) are ease of cleaning (as compared to my glass top stove that requires a lot of maintenance with a special cleaner and razor like tool to keep the glass top clean and smooth), and no searing hot cooktop to worry about. All that without sacrificing the cooking power of a regular range, to a certain extent. The 2 burners are great, though the overall size means that I can only use 2 small/medium sized pots/pans to fit best if cooking on both burners simultaneously – that’s not a problem or issue though, as this has been my first foray into using an induction cooktop and let’s me know I really enjoy it as an alternative cooktop and will be investing in a full power, authentic induction cooktop for the kitchenette in our rec room to have as a backup – I really think it’s worth it for my family. I’ve not encountered any issues using this portable cooktop thus far, and the price point seems good for an intro to induction cooking (as in my case)!

One thing this cooktop could do much better is actually show the temperature that you are cooking at. Instead, you have to remember their “level” numbers. Why not just show the degrees? Otherwise, the cooktop cooks well, is very nice-looking and cleans easily.

Cool little cook top, will work great for camping and at 15 amps even the baby generator can run it with no issue. Very easy to use, heats up quickly, and cleans up easily. Great value, would recommend.

This #Doumigo 2 burner induction cooktop is amazing. It's not my first induction cooktop. My first was part of a hot-pot kit and only provided three heat settings, which were high, higher and highest. None of which allowed for slow simmering. So, I ordered this two-burner induction top which has 9 different settings and two different burner sizes. This induction cooktop can be used in one of two ways. Either installed in a countertop or, with the installation of the four included feet, it can sit on top of a countertop. I have mine setup with the latter method. The first thing you notice when you turn it on is that the fan runs continuously. And it's not the quietest fan. When you try to use a burner without a pot/pan on it, you'll be greeted with a few beeps and an error code. A nice safety feature to have. The controls are fairly intuitive from selecting which burner to turn on, to the power level settings and the lock control. The first thing I tried was the water boil test. I put 1.5 quarts of cold tap water in a 2.5-quart saucepan. On the 1300watt burner, the water started bubbling in about 3 minutes and a rolling boil in just over 4 minutes. I was able to slowly saute onions on setting 3 and they came out perfectly. I really like the control induction cooktops have over the heating element/halogen type cooktops. This one is a great value and will be used for hot pot nights and a lot more.
