This is a nice double burner which i had paced right into the counterto of my art. It plugs into to a standard outlet which I had in the cupboard underneath. So a hole wa cut yo fit & it works great. Does not heat up excessively nor do I worry about a fire hazard with it. I don't turn it on & leave it unattended either tho. It does take a bit to warm up & cool down but I cook on it regularly & it has never failed to boil', fry, seer or simmer to my expectations. We needed separate burners for Passover. But the hot plates we originally bought took forever to heat up a pot of water. So we bought this one instead. And it works much better. The two burners are both bigger and stronger than most of the other hot plates we found. And we did a lot of research! These cooked our food a lot faster than our original two burner hot plate. It makes a great warmer and boils sauce and gravy well. Boiling water is a bit life sucking of a process. Ive never actually gotten a full boil ever but its hot enough to cook saimin. Good burner for the inbetween stages of getting a real stove top. Get yourself a portable gas burner instead. Way more efficient. ... show more
