So, I have somewhat ambiguous feelings about this product. Once it is up and solid it is really nice, covers a large area and withstands moderate winds well. Also, as this is a piece of kit to take out on Jeeping weekends, I really like how small and light it is when folded up. All good so far. The reason it is 4-stars instead of 5 is that putting it up and getting it solid is a bit frustrating. I am sure there is some engineer out there who can figure out how to put this up with only one person, but that was not me, and my son and I struggled to do it with 2. Now I am used to putting up tents and understand that things like this don't just pop up on their own (unless of course it is a pop tent...in which case it does.) But with only two poles the criticality of proper anchoring the stakes and having somebody to help is important to understand. If you are experienced at putting up tents and have a second set of hands to help then this is a bit frustrating (probably less so with experience) but pretty doable. If you do not have a helper and / or find tents too much of a challenge, then this might not be for you.

The canopy does what it says. Pretty easy to set up but you do need to use all the iron pegs. So you have to pound them into the ground. If there are high winds, this just does not hold up well. But for an average summer day, this is a welcome addition to a backyard. Just a little shade means everything. This is very light when its all packed up and once you know how to set it up, it's pretty low maintenance. Getting the pegs in the ground was the hardest part since I live in the desert. I would call it fair-priced at $50. If it were more sturdy with 4 poles instead of 2, id call this a steal and 5 stars.

For some reason I thought this was a pop up canopy and wanted to use it for an easy set up for camping but it is definitely not a pop up canopy. It is a very basic canopy that comes with small stakes that you need to tie and put together. It is decent but I think the price is high for what you get. If you're looking for basic shade, with lightweight mobility and don't mind the set up process this might work. I'm not sure this would hold up in any type of wind situation over 10mph so there's that. Not what I was hoping for

I can purchase a larger tarp with better quality for less $$ and use poles and anchors from previous tents. Two pole design isn't very stable and it's difficult for one person to put up. Carrying case is nice touch though.
