So impressed! I saw this on TikTok and thought I would give it a try. Prior to having this, I used the wall mount that came with the device. However, living in an apartment, I used Command strips to hold the mount in place on the wall outside of my door. This makes me feel better about having my device outside as people can no longer come up and just take it off the mount. Installation was a breeze. It can just be a little difficult placing it on the door as you do need some strength to open it wide enough to slip over the door. I definitely recommend this product. Also the packaging was very nice!

The media could not be loaded. they give you lots of these foam strip paddings and i used all of them! i would cut to size if its too long :-) the way i did it was very secured. my door closes perfectly fine. to undo the screws may be a little tough, but i used pliers to grip it. they have nice paddings on the inside of the door clip to keep your door from being scratched

The media could not be loaded. I had to purchase this due to a neighbor that’s been borderline stalking me and has been trying to lure me out of my apartment. At times he was hiding from the peephole and pounding on my door in hopes that I would open the door. So I needed something that was going to make me feel secure, but since I rent I didn’t think owning a ring doorbell was a possibility until this. Although the instructions were on the smallest piece of paper on the planet, I was still able to figure out how to put it together on my own easily. I was worried that my thick metal door wasn’t going to work with it, but it easily slides on the door and closes. There’s a small gap in the door lining which does let in some air and light, but it’s not enough for me to care too much. The mount itself is very sturdy, and if you put in enough of the foam inserts on each side of your Doorbell then there’s no way someone can steal it. Extra tip for people with metal doors: If you’re wanting to put the sticker up that Ring includes with the Ring device when you buy it, but you’re a renter like me, then find a magnet that’s about the same size of the sticker and just stick it to that magnet instead. That way you can reuse it when you move and you don’t have to scrape it off the door.

This was my only option for the ring doorbell for my apartment. I was so excited and disappointed. Says it fits doors swing inward. Not mine. I have a metal door. It kinda fit, but my door cannot close will remain open and unlocked. If forced, jams the door stuck still can't lock my door. Takes everything off alignment. This was my only hope. Wish there was one that worked outside windows, but same issue would arise. It's a GAMBLE hit or miss jackpot or total loss.

Make sure you have an inward swinging door. I had some issues with my IR reflecting on the glass of my storm door but easily fixed it with electrical tape on my Ring. This product is great for rental homes or apartments. I will definitely recommend!

I live in an apartment so this works perfect for me not having to drill in holes. I feel better knowing someone can’t just snatch it either. It seems like it’s securely in place. It’s really heavy duty and just slides and clips onto the door no problem. Thank you doorbell boa.
