The media could not be loaded. I purchased this DONYER POWER Portable Mini Electric Sewing Machine to make simple projects like some sachets. I miss my big machine that I gave away several years ago because I did not use it anymore. This adorable little machine does everything I want to do and it comes with everything needed. It has all the things my full-size machine had, including a sewing/threading light, built-in thread-cutter, and a handy storage drawer. (See photos.) I've been making "Sweet Dreams" Bunny Sachets and Lavender Rose Sachets for my drawers. I like that this has three different sewing modes; foot pedal, slow, and fast. I have always used the foot pedal for sewing, so that option was a must have. Although I will likely always use the same stitch, it's nice that this comes with 12 different built-in stitches and I definitely like the one-year warranty. This is wonderfully lightweight and portable; so easy to carry and easy to use. This is an excellent little machine for a beginner or for anyone. I appreciate that this machine is space-saving and, most importantly, works great for me, not to mention adorable.

I bought this machine to make masks for myself and others. I haven't had a sewing machine for years, but didn't need an expensive heavy one at this time. After reading the instructions I set to work on re-learning how to sew. I love the variety of stitches on this machine-a feature new to me. It's easy to operate, lightweight, and is doing a great job on my cotton masks. However, don't plan on repairing a pair of denim jeans with it. All-in-all a good buy for my present needs. I'd recommend it.

I've had this machine for 6 months and I was really happy with it at first, but now I can't stand it anymore. It jammed on me for the last time today. This time, it actually pulled the material down into the bobbin hole and managed to shred the bobbin! I mean, it shredded the entire spool of thread on the bobbin. I've never seen anything like it before. One good thing I can say about this machine is that it flies very well! ;-) Basically, this machine works fine under ideal conditions. But as soon as you toss it anything that isn't 2 pieces of perfectly ironed cotton, it jams and messes up. Oh, and did you think you would be hemming jeans on this? Ha! Hemming jeans requires piercing SIX, yes six, layers of denim. Even with a heavy duty needle, this machine can't handle it. So put that out of your mind right now. Here's the reality of the situation: If you're reading this wondering if you should buy this machine, don't. Amazon has the Brother XM2701 for $85. It's 4 times the machine this is for just $28 more. Also, you'll be able to buy accessories and whatnot for that machine, whereas no one will have any idea what you need when you tell them you have this no-name nonsense. Break into your kid's piggy bank or whatever you have to do and get that one. You'll be so much happier.

I do not need a fancy sewing machine that would require me to spend hours to figure out how to use. I only want to do some simple alterations of my clothes since I am short so it is hard to find clothes that fit my size LOL. this one just meets my needs, simple and easy to use. the instructions are easy to follow and the machine does not jam or create any mess even though i am still a novice. it is not bulky but not small at all so it is easy to operate and is still light weighted. I even taught my 13 year daughter and now it has become her new toy for this summer now. I am happy finally she can have some activities away from her mobile phone or laptop. :)

I have never used a traditional machine, but I do now ho to make quick mends by hand. This machine is slower than traditional full-size machines. It is enough for beginners but experienced seamstress might be frustrated. I am still having some thread jam, but I notice that they happen because I'm not threading the machine properly. In a sense, threading the machine has to be done almost perfectly for the machine to work. Besides threading, one has to learn how to use it: how to sow, how to start or finish each piece of fabric, how to add pieces together. So, the machine won't teach you how to sew. I'm adding a couple of pics of my first works. The stuffed sloth is a girl :)

Light weight. Instructions are okay. It has several stitches, but many are just variations in stitch length. The one foot that comes with it is not the one I think of as the 'standard', so I'm learning. Okay if you want to see if you like sewing without making a big investment, but doesn't seem like it will hold up to heavy use. I haven't used it for long periods of continuous use. Broke a needle trying to hemn stretch denim.
