This bed is perfect for our little girl. She is 4 years old and we wanted something that she would love for years to come. This bed is awesome. The drawers roll smooth and the alignment was perfect. It was super easy to build and has lots of space for cloths and toys alike. The height is just right too. I only wish we could buy the slide separately for her so she can slip out of bed and have some fun on rainy days.     • Strong chemical odor
This combo seemed perfect for my 4 year old daughter’s small room. I loved that everything could be tucked away underneath, but the bed was still low enough that I’m not worried about her getting hurt. Didn’t experience the missing parts or issues that others have stated. Only one real issue during the build. The drawer bottoms for the dresser were too small which pretty much made the dresser useless until I bought replacements. There are no replacement parts available so the only other option would have been to dismantle the dresser and exchange it for a new one. But by far the biggest problem with this set is the really strong odor. It’s still there after a week and a half. My daughter has been bunking with her brothers and I’m not sure exactly when she can sleep in her own room. The warning label mentions the use of formaldehyde so I’m afraid to let her sleep in there with the door closed breathing it in all night long!!! I like the set and it’s already built so I wasn’t going to take it apart and return it but it is definitely scary to worry about the air quality! ... show more

    • They’re okay, if you know what you’re getting into
My kids love these, but they’re really poorly made. Pieces were drilled incorrectly, things don’t line up as they should, and the required off gassing time is weeks. I even got splinters from the shoddy finishing job on the pieces. You can’t get any help from the company. Phone calls go unanswered, emails are rejected. Our kid loves this bed! It is a LOW loft bed, so it doesn't rest as high as your typical top-bunk. If you're looking for something to place a desk/workspace under, this is NOT the right bed for you. But for smaller kids, it creates the perfect hideout for playing and reading. Everything arrived quickly, no missing pieces. The weathered gray finish is super cute and the whole thing was well-constructed. THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVICE I CAN GIVE YOU: Get a HEX-shape drill bit, and this thing will go together in a snap. The bed and other drawers and shelves are just cheap partial board. 3 of the bottoms were cut short and i had to go to home depot to buy a piece of wood have it cut exactly (bc of GF) and fit them correctly the way they should have came. if had such a strong smell that Im glad i don't have to sleep in that room. For the price get something different. go to a regular store and get it anything but this one. junk junk junk. ... show more

We purchased this bed at a reduced price due to open box. Amazon certified that the contents were unblemished and unused. Upon opening the packaging we found (as you may have seen in several other reviews) that the headboard was cracked, there is clearly a design flaw as this is apparently not uncommon. Even though Amazon certified this as undamaged we decided to repair the damage rather than return. There is no practical way to return a broken item and the manufacturer is of no help. Some careful application of Gorilla Glue and 2 hours of clamping resolved the situation. We touched up the minor glue marks with a grey Sharpie. The bed was extremely easy to assemble and took 2 of us about an hour. Do yourself a favor and use a power screwdriver or drill and things will go a lot faster. Assembled the bed is certainly sturdy enough for a toddler and oftentimes my wife will sit in the bed with him and read thus adding another 105 lbs to his 30. Im not sure what the actual weight rating is (think I read 200 somewhere). We did procure a piece of MDF to place underneath the mattress purely for aesthetic reasons as when the bedclothes are tucked under the mattress they poke out of the mattress support slats. With the MDF sitting on top of the slats the bedclothes can be tucked under the mattress and do not show on the underside. I also painted the slats grey as they are unfinished pine. The grey slats were more aesthetically pleasing. The space underneath is ample for playing, another small mattress for a sleepover guest or toy storage but not enough room for a toddler to stand upright ( I did read in some reviews that there was some confusion with this). This loft is meant to be lower for the safety of the child and not a true high loft bed. As we are pleased with the bed we will likely purchase one or more of the dressers. ... show more

My three year old LOVES this bed. He climbs right up and goes to sleep and safely climbs back down when he wants. It is not too high, but gives him a fun place to play underneath. My only complaint is the bad smell and off gassing of ??? something that it was painted by. It has mostly dissappated after 2 weeks, but I wish I had investigated what to do earlier. I washed it all down with white vinegar and water today and it has totally helped. Plus, I have baking soda containers around the bed as well. Love the loft bed, love the low price, but wish I had invested in a bit better quality that didn't freak me out with VOC smells. ... show more

    • Well packaged and nicer than expected!

When my husband put this together, he commented on how well packaged it was. It was double boxed and not a single piece was in any way damaged. The bed looks nicer and is actually higher quality than we expected for the price. It’s very sturdy and my four-year-old absolutely loves it!
