I will not lie……this assembly is not for the impatient! Lol But the end result is so worth it. I did a lot of research before we pulled the trigger and decided on the Domi hardtop gazebo. First off, it arrived 5 days earlier than expected, and all 5 boxes were together! Take your time with the instructions, and no matter what, unbox EVERYTHING! We used bowls to sort out all the different screws, with a post it on them to label the bowls. So much easier! Def helps to have someone on the ground, handing parts to someone on the ladder. We wanted shade, we got shade! We wanted no leaks, and so far so good! The surrounding netting and curtains are so nice, and not a cheap material. Our biggest obstacle had to be the netting that surrounds the upper roof. Not quite sure how many bugs that will keep out, it doesn’t actually snap in or fit snug to the top of the frame. I would suggest actually putting it on towards the end, because you will need that access to get to the #11 screws that go on each side, towards the top of the row of bottom panels. At least keep them loose, so you can put your hands in. Customer service reached out to me in an email, to make sure we were satisfied and weren’t missing any parts or have any damage. I was honest with them; we did have a couple pieces that had a little ding here, or there, and a couple scratches, but nothing that would make the gazebo not work, or make it less beautiful. And def nothing to make me send anything back. They were very kind, and replied right away to my reply, and thanked me. And also took my upper netting criticism. The only thing that could make me like this better, is if it had a “gutter system”. The water does fall away, but it does come down all 4 sides, (through the drain holes along the edge) when it rains a lot. I absolutely love this gazebo. I’m not going to lie. It was a job to assemble it. It took my family (about 8 of us) a day and a half to put it up. However, it arrived damage free with no missing parts. It’s been up a couple of months now and held up to some storms with very strong winds. It provides much needed shade on our deck that has southwest sun exposure. We did not add the curtain or netting that came with it but used the clips instead to attach some tiny LED lights for ambience. So far I have been very pleased with it and would definitely recommend purchasing it. ... show more

We have the 12' x 20' gazebo; it's big and we are very pleased with the quality. Instructions were clear, though very involved with many steps. I'd recommend getting your own Allen wrenches to speed assembly. I reached out to customer support as I was short some non-essential parts (part was packing error, part was user error) and got a delivery two days later. I give 4 stars vs 5 as the roof cap leaked, with water coming through the hooks on the inside. By getting up very high, I could see that there were 8 rivets on the cap and at least one let water through. I was able to use some sealant to stop the leak. If I were to build another, I'd add sealant just in case before assembly. ... show more

Great product that is worth the price. Far outweighed the competition. With the exception of a couple of pieces being slightly bent due to shipping, all the pieces fit together well. Prior to delivery, we watched some YouTube videos that made us feel a little a Prior to delivery, we watched some YouTube videos that made us feel a little anxious, but we did not experience any of the negatives that were in the video. When assembling, you have to be patient and follow the directions. We recommend two or three people for assembly. We removed all the hardware and separated them into separate Tupperware bowls and labeled each with it’s corresponding number. During assembly, we recommend that you only hand tighten the nuts and bolts and so go back later on when everything is completely assembled. The reason is because as you move along, certain pieces, especially on the roof because as you add each piece, you may have to readjust other pieces so that they fit together properly. This is a very attractive and sturdy gazebo. We are very happy with our purchase and highly recommend it! ... show more

    • 12x20 Gazebo took 30 hours

You can assemble this by yourself with 2 ladders with the exception of installing the top roof screws. You will need someone to hold the nut with a wrench on the underside of the tent while you drill the screw on the outside top. I spent 1 hour sorting the 6 boxes and laying them out All of the pieces are light and when assembled, this turns into a very nice and sturdy Gazebo Use a cordless drill with a hex bit and if you have a 2nd cordless drill, put a phillips head in that one...your hands will get beat up and this will eliminate some of the abuse on your fingers. There are a few extra #8 screws which are the most commonly used (there are other extra screws as well) Some of the number 3 screws would not catch the thread...I used #8's What would I change: Better pictures and directions I had issues with the bug netting for the roof (need better pictures) Get rid of or alter the "Z" series of plastic inserts for the roof panels. They constantly pop off and add time to the assembly Normalize the screw size: 8's, 10's and 12's are common...get rid of the 9's and 11's Include directions for the outside tent assembly that are accurate (it calls for 2 sections to have 10 hangers installed and in fact, there are 5 hangers needed for each of those sections Also, the curtain has it's sections labelled with numbers. Include the order by which they shoud be hung (a picture like the one for the internal curtain would be great) Really happy with this gazebo and while it did take a while to assemble, it was not difficult. ... show more
