it takes more than 4 hrs with 12 x 16 you need at least 3 people. all the parts , screws, were in the box, instructions were great, it is very sturdy and better than a fabric awning that kept getting whipped/torn by the wind. looks very professional, it fit perfectly along the back wall, color blends with the house. excited to start using the back porch again. ... show more

I am absolutely pleased with this purchase. I took four weeks to decide on which structure to buy and I am so glad I chose this one. It arrived super quick, about two days I think and all three boxes arrived at the same time. It was somewhat labor intensive and took about a day and a half to complete. I am a 37-year-old woman and I completed the entire frame and only needed help for attaching the roof panels. For the roof panels it is very helpful to have two people one underneath and one above. When building try to make sure that you keep the frame square so that all holes lineup well and if you run into any holes that won’t lineup perfectly for the roof panels, take a screwdriver and insert it into the hole and use a little force to get it to lineup. There was a lot of protective plastic wrap that you had to take off of the roof panels, but I appreciate that it was there because it keeps it from getting scratched during transport. There was no rust on any of the parts and altogether this is a very nice structure. You absolutely cannot beat it for this price point. Once attached to the house, it is very stable and solid. It functions just as it should and provides much needed shade that I was needing. There was a couple of spots that had small dents but with shipping something this big I suppose that is bound to happen. The seller was super quick at responding to me about these dents and made sure that their customer was happy. All in all I am completely satisfied with the structure and customer service I received. ... show more

Assembled this weekend. Took the better part of Saturday and Sunday, but part of that was attaching it to the house and concrete patio. I was impressed that only had a couple small pieces bent during shipping that were fixable, but for the most part is was packed for shipping really well. Of the hundreds of bolts/screws that had to be installed, I only a had a few where the holes on the panels were just enough off to not line up and needed "persuasion". Good quality, but one of the posts was significantly damaged, presumably during shipping. Box was repaired so it was know to be damaged and it was delivered anyways. Couldn’t return it since it sat in my garage unopened for months before we opened it and discovered half way through the installation that there was damage. I had a crew here to help and a family gathering the next day, so I decided to live with it. That’s on me, but beware and don’t accept from the shipper if there is viable damage… ... show more

This "gazebo"/Leanto, is solid for the money. While the description says that it is aluminum, it is actually steel, so it's a bit heavier, I think steel is a better material for something that will have to hold up to the wind. I installed this on my deck with the help of a friend, it took about 4 hours. Instructions were excellent and everything went together exactly as it should (The screw holes and screws lined up perfectly, nothing was of questionable quality at all. It rained and got really windy the night after we put it up and it really held up well, it didn't even budge (I hadn't screwed it down yet). The hardest part about the install was the fact that the unit is exactly the same size as my deck, so I had to perform a couple of questionable maneuvers standing on the railing of my deck while installing the last couple of roof panels. If you are putting this on a low patio or larger deck, you'll have no problems at all just using a ladder. (Note looking the pictures, that the gazebo looks like it's not level, but it's because my deck support posts aren't level that it makes it look that way) ... show more

A little challenging to assemble but doable with two people. Very sturdy. It has survived an icier than normal winter and would recommend use to protect your heat pump units. Mine froze up two years in a row and this year, no problems!

Turned out looking great. You need a couple of people to put this together and the instructions are not the best. I found myself taking it apart after I got a couple steps ahead in the instructions.
