I own the Unscripted discovery set, and was happy for a chance to receive a larger size of Carpe Diem. The 1.7 oz bottle is a deep red glass with a textured, decently weighted black cap. The presentation is clean, attractive, and (refreshingly) compact. The atomizer is top tier: not pressurized, but still delivers a satisfyingly fine, cloud‑like mist. Seriously one of my favorite atomizers. Carpe Diem is clearly inspired by a certain santal fragrance (a profile I personally love), and it is definitely consistent with that profile. The opening is woody (like papery, fresh pencil shavings) and a little spiced, yet still fresh and airy from the violet. As it settles, it remains firmly in the dry wood category. I get a mix of woody freshness and powdery leather with a bit of warmth from the amber. Several hours into the drydown, a slightly powdery, sueded musk is left and remains close to the skin. It has the signature dry, leathery sandalwood vibe of its inspiration fragrance, and lasted several hours on my skin before fading into the musks. I find this to be firmly unisex, although if you prefer sweeter, gourmand, floral, or just more typically "feminine" leaning scents, this one may be a bit challenging for you. If you’re looking for a fragrance that captures the iconic essence of its inspiration, or just want to test out this type of scent profile, this one is definitely worth trying (especially in the smaller 1.7 oz bottle size, which is not an option typically offered by middle Eastern fragrance brands).

Unscripted likes to do very classic scent inspirations. This one reminds me very much of niche fragrances that are centered around palo Santo and sandalwood. It's woody, resinous, earthy, and a bit powdery. Warm cardamom with a soft violet thread gives it an almost electric quality in the opening. The iris and papyrus combine for a woody flower note that gives it that powdery, creamy texture, and is slightly medicinal. It reminds me a lot of luxury hotels and boutique lobbies. The base is where Carpe Diem really shines. The leather is more like new car interior and less like horse saddle. It's easy to wear and avoids going animalistic. I think it's easy unisex and very versatile. I think it could be worn in a lot of different situations and settings throughout the year. Dress it up for a business meeting or dinner with colleagues, or dress it down for a casual afternoon or day at the office. The 50mL bottle is a great option. It helps keep the costs down while giving you a full experience without committing to a large bottle that might spend a lot of time on the shelf. The ruby red glass and black bottle cap are striking and look great on the shelf.

This Unscripted, ‘Carpe Diem’ perfume for men and women comes in a 1.7 ounce BEAUTIFUL red glass bottle. The main scents are sandalwood and leather, I found it to be a very rich, sultry aroma. When I closed my eyes and smelled, I could well imagine that this perfume would be the scent of ‘Arabian Nights’. The smell is strong and lasts a long time, so not a whole lot of product needs to be used! This product is packaged beautifully and would make a great gift with a good price. I would say that the scent is more masculine but could certainly be used by females as well. I would recommend it!

I was pretty excited about this fragrance. The bottle is pretty and looks sophisticated. Unfortunately, the scent not so much. I was unfamiliar with the brand, but decided to give it a try. To its credit the scent is strong and long lasting. The problem is that the aroma reminds me of those cheap knock off fragrances. The smell has a weird undertone that smells...well, inexpensive. There is something off putting about the scent. It does have lasting power on skin or used as a sachet to spray on pillows or furniture. There was no staining. I was just very disappointed in the scent itself. Again it reminds me of those cheap knock-off scents. The aroma is even perhaps a bit too strong. It's difficult to fully convey what this smells like, except to say it doesn't smell luxurious or expensive. This is the type of fragrance I'd expect to pay much less for. Sort of like a Dollar a Store scent. Thus, in my opinion it is way overpriced. The value for the money is just not there for me. If you want to take a chance on it, I would do so only if the price were drastically reduced. Again, it does have a strong aroma that lasts a good while. I just wish it smelled better.

This is a very woodsy and earthy scent. It's not a floral as the other one. The earthy tones make it feel more masculine to me, but I am not an expert. I kind of like it but it doesn't have any staying power compared to the other sense from this same company that I have. I have a couple of these brands and they are extremely different when it comes to the intensity and the duration of the scent. But this one I like the most and yet it is the fastest evaporating one. Or how would you describe it? It doesn't seem to last as long as the other ones. But I like the scent better than the other options too. I lack the poetry to adequately describe this. I think it is a nice scent that can work for both men and women and not everything does that it's not overpowering when you first put it on, but it is a little bit floral. But after a while when it mellows out, it smells a bit more like nature in general. I wish I could describe it better. But until they make the Internet scratch and sniff there's really no way to definitively describe this. I really do like the bottles. They are very sturdy with very solid caps that fit with a nice click and won't fall off. The pump mechanism feels high-quality as well. The only thing cheap about it is the label which is sort of crooked and the printing doesn't really seem that great. I can live with that.
