For starters the build is somewhat difficult but I was able to completely constructed it by myself with the exception of 2 minutes of help holding up the third leg. As I was building on a slope so having three different sized ladders helped considerably. As others have noted it came very well packed. My 12x18 gazebo came in five roughly 90 lb boxes. Before starting build I recommend you do a check off on inventory on the part list on enclosed instructions. While you might not want to completely unwrap the longer braces and legs you will want to give them the feel test for hidden dents and dings. One of my main leg upright braces had a sizable ding and the leg nestled with it had a smaller one. Customer support wanted to send replacements out immediately but as I was well into build and had time constraints I decided to merely fix it and go with it and it works fine no leaks. I placed that brace on back side of gazebo. The instructions are picture graphs with numbered steps to be taken with virtually no fine detail put a very doable with a little bit of thought. Best to leave all bolts and nuts loose during construction with the exception of the legs and upright leg bracing bolting to the top plate which would be the only bolts you will not be able to reach after everything is finished. Unless of course you take a hacksaw to an Allen key and radius the edges of it and attempt to tighten through a very tight space with very limited turn. Ask me how I know that. I also recommend you tighten the steel roofing panels behind you as you go leaving the trailing edge loose until you reach a corner as they are hard to reach with a ladder afterwards. Every other nut and bolt is reachable and should be snug down only after construction. The kit includes a tube of what seems to be a high quality silicone which is a caulk - sealer not a adhesive. Use it. As you are assembling the steel roof panels I would get underneath and look for any hints of daylight in which case use the silicone there and possibly where they meet the top section cross members even if you cannot see daylight there. As I had to construct a deck platform for gazebo I recommend that you keep it to the exact size of the gazebo if possible as mine extends a few inches out on all four sides and has got a tendency to catch rain water and flow it into the gazebo floor . I intend to make an eighth of an inch caulk ridge on gazebo floor about 6 in from curtains on all four sides to act as a water dam. On my 18x12 gazebo the curtains are easy to set up as they are all zipped together there are four long pieces and two short pieces The short pieces attached to the center side legs. The main curtains go over the outside track mosquito netting on the inside track Up a week or so rode through a week of monsoon like weather with flying colors. A 5***** Purchase.

We purchased the summer and put up immediately. It was 2 days of the two of us basically doing nothing but assembling. Probably about 12 hours total because there were some slowdowns in putting together the roof etc. But we figured it out and took other people's advice from YouTube videos because the directions are not the greatest. Keep good track of your screws because we had just enough. Assembly aside, we have loved it. It is beautiful and seems to be well made. We love the mosquito net and the curtains. And we have several friends who have said that they want to get the same or something similar. We hope it lasts for a very long time.

It's a lot of parts and be prepared to spend a few days building it unless you have a lot of people and even then the directions may slow you down. You will need at least 2 people. The directions can be tricky and could definitely use more information but if you are mechanically inclined and a natural troubleshooter, you should be fine. Just take it slow because some areas of instruction are tricky. The curtains are nice but I wonder when summer comes around, if the pesky mosquitos will make their way through the gaps on top of the curtains. Also the screens for the top portion of the gazebo don't exactly sit flush so there are small gaps there too. Gutters are nice but small so in a downpour they won't be very effective. I did have a question and the seller responded in about a day. The video they have in the photos section is really good to get you started. Get a drill with torque control and a socket set. You will hate your life if you try to assemble this with the wrenches they provide.

Purchased 12x14 in brown. I will give this product a 5 star rating, as the gazebo itself is an excellent choice. However, we had issues with delivery (almost 3 weeks total), which the company compensated us for, and assembly was a complete nightmare! Instructions are terrible. Basically pictures that are hard to follow and understand. My husband assembled and he’s finished an entire basement with a lot less issues than assembling this. Getting the pre-drilled holes to line up was very difficult. He had to cut 4 roof panels that were too long and would not fit the roof??🤬. The roof took 7 hours-but mostly due to pieces not fitting. Total assembly was 12 hours with 2 people. Warning-have a lot of patience! But once assembled, we love the gazebo. It’s on our 16x16 deck and provides complete shade. If we close the curtains, it’s like having an outdoor room. Seems very sturdy and waterproof. Customer Service does not have a toll free number, you have to email. They respond quickly and probably would have gotten parts sooner but was shipped from CA and I live in MI. Fed Ex needs much improvement on their shipping system!

I purchased another brand first and returned it because it was junk. The Domi gazebo is beautiful. I got the 12 x 18, which provides lots of space and love the rain gutters to control the flow of water. My husband is stubborn and couldn’t wait for help so he actually accomplished building this himself. The only bad thing I would mention is the delivery. FedEx doesn’t seem to care about quality. The boxes were punctured and dented. Some of the metal pieces were bent and one area was broken. The delivery driver was rude and dropped the boxes on our lawn, literally. Domi refunded a small amount to cover our repair but I hope to persue a refund on the delivery fee from FedEx. Other than that, I’m very satisfied with the gazebo and quality of the curtains. I’m retiring in two weeks and look forward to this being my oasis.

Beautiful gazebo! Just what we needed on our deck for shade and privacy. It took two men two days to install. They framed it all one day and did the roof the next. LOTS of bolts and the roof was a pain to install. But that just adds to the sturdiness. Two days after it was completed we had 70mph winds and storms move through. It held up just fine and no leaks. It's bolted to our deck boards and doesn't budge. I love the bug screens and curtains for privacy and shade. Hoping it holds up to snow during our Illinois winters.

Domi Outdoor living has gone above and beyond. We currently have two Domi Outdoor Living Gazebo's, one for our outdoor kitchen area with side shelves, and a 12' x 16' Gazebo for an upper deck area. Both were exceptionally straight forward with installation and have performed flawlessly. Recently we had a storm come through that resulted in a sizeable tree branch punching through the roof of our 12' x 16' Gazebo. Upon reaching out to Domi to ascertain about replacement panels for the roof, they were awesome to work with and facilitated providing replacement panels at a cost that was very reasonable and then quickly provided a link back through Amazon for me to order. This was somewhat of a bear assembly. A lot of parts and Ikea type instructions. It took me 14 hours to complete. You definitely want to skip the tools that come with the product and get a bit and use a power drill with the bit. This is a great looking product. Quality materials and very well engineered. Excellent shipping via Fedex. The boxes (5 of them) were banded and taped and all were perfect when they arrived. I received an email from a representative from the company thanking me for my order and telling what to expect of the deliveries. They said they would contact me to follow up after I received the product. There was a piece that was broken, I contacted the company via the email that I had previously received, he ask for photos. I sent him the photos of the broken part and they promptly shipped me a replacement, via Fedex, from Shanghai China, that was received in Five days. I still can’t believe the customer service.
