Update 7/25/24: meant to come back on sooner and update this and forgot. It does have a red light to let you know when the water needs to be refilled. The only reason I noticed it was because I walked past it in the dark. 😝. So there is something that will indicate that the water is getting low… you just have to pay attention. Is a bit of a pain to clean but overall it’s a pretty nice system. I don’t disconnect the pump from the tube… I just take the whole unit to the laundry room sink and basically leave a couple of things still attached and that makes cleaning a whole lot easier. But if you don’t have a big sink, you’re gonna be in trouble. 😂 still wish there was a viewer to see how full it was… I have overflowed it a couple times. 🤦♀️🤷♀️. My animals do drink more. Really nice system ... easy to set up ... dogs were on it ... cats were playing in the little water fountain thing. Emptied it the first day though ... not even a whole day. (4 large dogs that drink a lot (in Florida) and 2 cats). Really wish there was some type of viewer so you can see the water level. Not only can you not see how low it is, you can't see how full you have it when filling it (and then overflow it out the back where the cord goes!). If they could put in some sort of viewer ... that would be great and it would be a perfect device. I had viewed so many and I was trying to make sure I picked one with that option, and I somehow messed up. It's super quiet too. I liked the little blue glow coming from the unit when I was up at 2 a.m. getting my own water. Lol BUT, overall a very nice product.

I returned it. I just don't think it was worth the cost. It wasn't attractive, was hard to keep clean due to the size and design. The filters looked fancy but, I'm not convinced they had anything inside them besides a simple mesh filter.

I have a golden retriever, a pomeranian, and 2 adult cats. They all love this fountain and drink with ease. This fountain was easy to clean and setup, comes with 4 filters and is so quiet. I had a couple smaller ones and this is better since it holds so much more water. One thing I would like to see on the next version is a water level window. I don't like waiting until the pump struggles for water to find out it's empty. The air that enters a the pump causes cavitation and the moving parts inside are no longer properly lubricated and causes premature wear on the impeller and shaft. I just check every 3 days or so because that's when it generally gets a bit low. The pump otherwise you cannot hear operating. You just hear gentle trickling sounds from the output of the fountain. The cats and dogs didn't hesitate to use it and love drinking from it. I put a bowl of water next to it in case they were unsure of it but they ignore it and drink from the fountain. I hope this information has been helpful to someone 🙂

Honestly, I like most everything about this; but after two one-gallon jugs of water I had gone slightly over the max fill line. Technically, the container could hold another gallon, but with the hole cut into it for the pump's power cord that obviously shouldn't count. Disappointing.

This was like a water fountain I had purchased before getting this one. The difference is my older one is plastic and this is metal. There is a world of difference in cleaning the two, with this one being much better to keep clean. When I got this, I had more pets. It is great that it has a three-gallon capacity. I changed it daily because I live in North Carolina and it has been so hot and humid. There was still plenty of water so it lasted longer than a day. The dogs loved the concept of moving water, enhancing the taste. I would recommend this to anyone with pets.

We got this to help our 100 pound German Shepard prevent putting paw in her water bowl. And so far so good! It's a big bowl and holds a lot of water. The flow of water puts her at ease and she drinks without having the urge to put her paw in the bowl. It holds a ton of water and rarely do we have to refill it. Once every 3 days to be exact. It is a very well made bowl and very durable. Very happy with this!

I want to love this fountain. It’s the largest capacity one I’ve had to date and that’s great. It’s mostly quiet and easy enough to assemble. I like the cartridge filter design a lot. Stainless steel is wonderful for a fountain too. What I don’t love is there isn’t a window to see the current level. You will notice the water sounds get louder when it is getting lower. Adding water requires removing the top, which is a bigger job than it should be. Every time I lift off the top the filter housing disconnects from the top, which is my biggest issue with this fountain. If that connected more robustly I’d probably give it 5 stars. Not sure if I’d buy it again.
