Super cute, but if you're using it for your puppy, be aware that they'll grow out of it quickly! We used this after our younger female Aussie got spayed. It worked great- though the thread around the stomach began to unravel a lot quicker than I'd have figured. And she was even coned *with* the recovery suit on as well. It did its job though! Fit her perfectly, protected her spay incision, and she seemed quite comfortable in it when she wore it and it fit! If your dog is the chewy type even with a suit on, keep a cone on them as well, just a suggestion. My older female Aussie liked to chew on herself even through the suit, so just be careful and keep an eye on your fur baby. I love how it was button up- so it was easy to put on and take it off when necessary! Great for washing and such. ... show more

    • A Comfortable and Calm Alternative to the Cone

This recovery suit was a much better experience for my dog than the traditional cone. It kept her covered and protected after her spay surgery without making her feel restricted or stressed. The fabric is soft and stretchy, which made it easier to get on and off, and she seemed comfortable wearing it all day. It fits snug enough to prevent licking but still allows her to move around, sleep, and go for walks without any issues. The striped pattern is a nice touch too — it looks more like pajamas than medical gear. Washing it was simple and it held up well in the laundry. It’s important to measure your dog correctly, especially around the chest and length. My 8 pound poodle mix wore a Size Small. I’d recommend it for small to medium dogs who need post-surgery protection but don’t do well with cones. Just be sure to have a backup in case one gets dirty. ... show more

What this DOES do- -covers your dog from neck to hind -perfect opening for male dogs to urinate -perfect attachment at their hind quarters to be able to deficate -looks like pajamas What it DOESN'T do- -it didn't stay on my dachshund for more than 5 minutes. His front legs came out of it, tripping him as he walked. -the fabric pattern doesn't line up at the snaps (see photos). It's mismatched. I was very disappointed with this recovery suit for my dachshund. Though he walked his way out of it quickly, I put it back on him, paying close attention to how it went around his shoulders and hind quarters. He still walked out of it and I was never able to keep it on his front legs. It was a total waste; unusable. If you have a dachshund, I would not recommend this recovery suit. ... show more

It is difficult to know what size to buy with the pet clothes, but the guide for this product is fairly close. The material is thin, but we were going for lightweight as you don't want to overheat your dog. As far as this being used as a recovery suit, it is a definite NO. The lightweight fabric would easily soak through and/or tear with a little licking or nipping at it, which would probably make your fur baby's would worse, not better. Stick to a proven brand designed by veterinarians. This is cute for a little outfit but is entirely inappropriate as a recovery item for post surgery. ... show more

Great recovery suit for dog. Honestly would make a good outfit period, no surgery needed. It's cute, light weight, and easy to put on. I got this for my dog who needed surgery for an intestinal blockage. It is a bit thinner than other recovery suits I ordered, but still seems well made. The buttons easily snap together on the back. It keeps him from licking his incision site and is much easier to move around in and more comfortable than dealing with a cone. It fits my 8lb pomeranian perfectly. She was doing really well in the cone and not trying to get to her incision so i decided to switch her to this outfit and i'm so glad i did! It fits perfectly and she seems really comfortable. If you can get one of these on your pet, he'll be less able to lick his wounds from, say, getting fixed. The fabric is soft and it looks well executed in manufacture. One note that will help folks who might be tempted to think that the seller was confused about what to call an XL size. The sizes are true to the inches they put in the table. That means that your smaller dog may very well be an XL in this item. If you have a large dog, this is not the item you are looking for.
